Avianna smiled as she closed her old diary. "Mummy!" Eva squealed. Avianna placed the book on the couch and picked up baby Eva. "You know, darling, you're so lucky to have both parents alive, you know that right?" All Eva did was grab at Avianna's hair. She couldn't reply, she was only a little child. Anthony tiptoed behind her and wrapped his arms around her waist. "Hello beautiful." He muttered. Avianna smiled and rocked Eva back and forth in her arms. "Isn't she gorgeous?" She cooed. Anthony ruffled Avianna's long hair, "Just like you." Avianna rolled her eyes, "Oh come on." He laughed and kissed her on the cheek. He walked away humming 'Isn't She Beautiful'. Avianna put Eva on the couch and grabbed her diary. "That was so long ago. Now I'm married to Anthony and I have a beautiful baby girl." She glanced over at Eva who was squirming in her blankets.
She put her lips on her diary and whispered, "Oh Dylan. Where are you? I haven't seen you in 10 years. Have you left me forever? I need my guardian angel back, but darling, you were right....My prince did come. But I will never, never forget my first true love. Thank you, dearest, for shaping my life and protecting me through everything." She sadly smiled. "Merry Christmas, my dear angel." She placed the book under the tree and took a piece of paper. Avianna then wrote, "To my dearest daughter, Eva. If you ever feel like you're breaking, just know you're not alone". She taped the note onto the dairy and then pushed the diary farther back, out of view. She sniffed and slowly stood up. Avianna wrapped her bathrobe around her tighter and stared out the window at the falling snowflakes. "Where ever you are," she mumbled, "don't forget me."
Dylan shivered in the cold, as he looked down at his love from the tree. She was staring straight at him, but couldn't see him. He was invisible to her, that was the curse of coming down to earth. You fall in love with the person you are guarding, but you will never be able to have them. There is only so much time you can spend with them before you become a stranger to them. That was the curse of being a guardian angel. Dylan wiped a tear away from his face and whispered into the white wonderland.
"I won't."
