November 4, Wednesday
I saw Dylan again this morning.
I strolled into the halls feeling rather exhausted. I went towards my locker when I heard a squeaky voice next to me.
It was HER. She said "Hullo" in her whiny voice. I gave her a strange look and said, "Hi?" She bounced up and down on her heels, "Luke said you didn't get my invite for Friday night, but you have to come."she squealed, putting emphasis on the "have". I stared at her, wondering if maybe her brain wasn't functioning properly. She HATES me!
Just at the moment Dylan walked past and glanced at us quickly.
Than I knew what I had to do. I had to do the right thing. Poor Dylan had no friends in New York, and he didn't seem to have many here. "Um, I'll go on one condition." I replied. She nodded, and waited for me to state it. "I'll go if Dylan is invited." Her face fell a little, but her smile was still fixed. "Of course!" She giggled. I gave her a suspicious look and ran off to go talk to Dylan.
"Hey!" I cheerfully said. Dylan mumbled "Hi." "Um, are you free Friday night?" I asked. He shrugged, "Dunno." I noticed he seemed kind of sad. "You ok?" I questioned. He stared at me with his bright blue eyes, "Yea. I'm fine." He slammed his locker and shuffled off to his first class. "Wait!" I yelled. He stopped, sighed and turned around. "What?"
"So will you go Friday night?"
"Sure. Whatever." He tramped off, as I ran off to my next class.
For some reason, I felt happy. Something about him makes me happy.
As soon as I entered the room, I saw Jessica, Luke, and their usual gang in a circle. Luke waved at me and spoke loudly, "You coming on Friday? With whats-his-face?"
I grinned, "Dylan. And yes."
Now what am I going to wear?
And will Harry let me?
