The Lime Light

(Y/n) pov

       It's been A couple weeks ever since Frisk and I were able to break the barrier. I decided to stay in the Underground with all the people who care for me instead of going back and feeling worthless at home. I'm sure my family doesn't even care...
    It's been hard for me through this time, I gotta admit. Frisk hangs out with many of our friends but I don't know... I just shut myself out. From time to time, I'd hang out with Sans and Papyrus, and of course Frisk, but I feel empty. What am I missing? What do I need to do feel whole again?
      After the incident with my secret hideout being completely destroyed, I've bought a house at Waterfall. Everything there was so captivating and beautiful with its gorgeous glowing echo flowers and its crystal clear fresh waterfalls. But what brought me to love the place is its crystals! All of them so admirable in each of their own ways, I couldn't help but feel at home with its beauty.
     I'm walking today because I don't think I have gotten Putin like what... 2 weeks? Oh well! I take a stroll and go to a nearby waterfall with a lake. The lake is usually where I like to swim and such but today it was abit to chilly for that so instead, I took off my boots, curl up the whimsical dress I'm wearing to my knees, and dipped my feet in the water.
      --Its been quite some time now. I've just been listening to the echo flowers repeat the little secrets some come here to spill and watched Monster Kid being adorable, playing with their friends or simply following others.
   Suddenly a flock of birds started to swirl above my head. They started to dive in front of my face, startling me. I immediately stand up and follow them. They flew to this sketchy cave. Should I enter? What should I do?!?

Mettatons pov

   I'm so irritated!! These dumb idiots know absolutely nothing!
" Look Mettaton, you're just gonna have to kiss your co-star! End of discussion!!"
   " You know shit! All you do is order all this complete nonsense that won't do any good! You think we're going to get ratings like this!"
I've been bickering with my director for some time now but he is becoming a real dick! I slam him against the wall and lift him by the collar.
   " You're gonna have to find a way to fill my slot! I quit, you drunk!"
   " Mettaton, babe, just film the shot and we're done! If you don't, you're down in the business!"
  " Oh Darling! You think you can fire ME!!??" I slammed him once more.
   " You're the one who's going to be done here! My ass gave you those ratings! I'm the star, not YOU!"
    I stormed out the room freckin pissed! They make me do shit like this when I'm not comfortable! I don't want to kiss a freckin stranger!! I march back to my dressing room and gather my things. I grab all my clothes and makeup and start packing up. When I'm nearly done, that's when something caught my eye. The black jacket... The dark blue beanie...
I hurry and gather those 2 and pocketed those and finish packing, carrying the hot pink suitcase outside as the idots tried convincing me that I was their star. I already know!!!
" SO LONG BITCHES!!!"
-- I dropped my suitcase off at Alphus' Lab without notice but quickly left. I'm tired of the same nagging from everyone! I need some time to think ALONE! I don't know where I'm going but all I need is to feel needed for myself. My true self without any problems!
That reminds me... of (y/n). I grimace at her name. I haven't seen her since the whole blow up of her house. Does she hate me? Where is she? I take out her jacket and pull it on to myself. I never got to thank her for her care! I only noticed the her clothes on me once I was left on the very last moments of each other. Does... Does she miss me?
-- I've been walking more than expected but I'm quite tired now. I need somewhere to stay but I don't want to sleep at a fans house! They'll VIOLATE me!! I'll just keep my eyes peeled for any familiar friends...
(Y/n) pov
When I entered the cave it was dark until I stepped inside! Suddenly a flash of light was brought to life and all around was a beautiful glistening hidden lake with a crystal walls! There was engraved words on some of the walls and soft sparking blue grass underneath my feet. This made me so excited!! Suddenly, I feel something form on both of my hands! First it felt icy but started to solidify and when I glanced down, I was shock! Crystals! I gasped loudly with complete shock and even more crystals shot straight up infront of me so quickly I stumbled on to my butt! Wait... What!!! I ? What? I'm so confused!!! I continued to freak but that didn't help as I was causing more of the beautiful rock to shoot upward. Okay okay, (y/n) calm down! I gently glide my hand from the ground and now a beautiful vine like crystal started to form. Okay okay I can get used to this! I looked down as a big smile is plastered on my face. As I looked down, I'm able to bring a huge rock of crystals to form beneath me! I tried to undo it and I was successful! I undid all of the mess!
My new hidden spot! So... does that make me a monster?
I rush home and I finally can place somethings I couldn't fit at my house. I lift my beautiful sleek grand piano and rose it with crystals to the cave. In my arms, I carried a dark blue guitar and since I had a spare bed, I rode that toward the cave as well!
After some fixing up, I placed things where I wanted! Now just to feel at home! I sit and start playing a song I wrote.
Ive had a tough experience my whole life so I wanted to feel better. I needed the way I feel expressed! I can't bottle it up no longer!
Mettaton pov
So exhausted! I start to feel weary and sick when I start hearing someone. I walked all the way to Waterfall and these heels are so weared down!
I follow the mesmerizing voice... so beautiful but it led me to a glowing cave. It shined blue, purple, red etc. It just continues to switch as the tone of the person singing changes moods. I enter and see... Her!!! (Y/n)!!!!
I wanted to run up to her but... She was weeping as she sang and played the piano. Wait... What is happening to her feet? And the sides of the piano? There ... There are crystals forming underneath her! As she hit higher notes, more sharp ones formed which made me freak ... But I was in awe! My beautiful (y/n) is back!
But she is unhappy! The lyrics are so sad and I want to comfort her. I let her finish but as she does, crystal vines grow all around the piano and begin to on her arms! Then she starts glowing!! Oh no! What is happening! I should help her! Can she control this???!!??!??
" (Y/n)!!! "
She whips her head towards the sound of my voice. Her eyes are glowing light blue and I can see the same color still drip down her cheeks. Every second passing by, she looks like she becomes more weak.
" Metta... He...lp....M-me..."
She was gasping for air! Whatever she has done must of been so overwhelming for her to handle!
I run to her and tackled her into a hug!
" (Y/n), don't worry I'm here! I'm not leaving! Don't worry! You're safe with me!" I pulled my face away from the crook of her neck but she still looks like she is being overpowered by... I guess crystals!
" Come on (Y/n)!! You can do it! Power through this! For me! I care for you! Please fight with all your might! "
The glowing stopped from inside her and her body fell limp but I caught her in my arms.
What? She was beautifully singing a second ago but was unstable the next! Oh dear, I don't think she can handle so much attention of she were to put her self out there in the publics eye. I'll keep her safe now.
It's time to return the favor...

I'm so sorry for the lack of updates but I have been struggling with the lack of hearing through my left ear. I can't hear out of it anymore which is sorta sad but at least I can still hear through my right!
