Tyler sat his desk, doodling in his notes.
All the kids in his class never noticed him. Not even the teacher.
"Does anyone know the answer?"
Tyler looks up shyly and looks at the words on the permethrin board.
"Um,I do." Tyler whispered, knowing he had made a mistake of being noticed and hoping no one heard.
"Ah,Mr.Joseph," the teacher walks over to his doodled desk. "What is the answer?"
Everyone was staring, whispering to their peers.
"Isn't that the weird kid?"
"Doesn't he have that imaginary friend?"
"I heard he's gone crazy. So be careful."
As Tyler looked around the class,he saw a blonde headed girl, not caring what people were saying. She glanced at Tyler once and went back to her notes.
"Is he deaf?" One kid whispered,as they waited for Tyler to answer.
"Maybe he doesn't want to speak because he's afraid you're going to judge harshly like you do." The blonde girl said, still staring at her notes. Everyone turned to her.
"Miss Black,do you have the answer?" The teacher asked.
"No I don't."
"Then do not make such remarks."

Tyler ran up to the blonde at her locker.
"Um,hi."
The girl looked up and smiled at Tyler.
"Hi." She looked behind him. "Do you need anything?"
Tyler scratched the back of his neck.
"Um..just wanted to say thanks for,you know..uh.."
The girl laughed at Tyler, thinking he was cute.
"It's okay. I just hate it when people would have a judge of character when they barely know them." The girl's smile made Tyler swoon.
"Would you like to um,go get some frozen yogurt sometime?" Tyler asked shyly, hoping she'd say yes.
"Of course I would!" The smiling girl gave Tyler a piece of paper.
"Here's my number so you know when we can go hang out."
Tyler smiled. He hasn't smiled in months. He felt happy. He actually felt happy.
"Oh,what's your name?"
"Jenna." Jenna flashed another smile at Tyler and walked away to meet up with her study group.
"Jenna" Tyler whispered to himself.
