"I can't believe it." Josh yells.
"Can't believe what?"
"You! Look how far you came in life. I'm surprised you haven't forgotten about me yet."
"Josh what makes you think I'll forget you?"
"Because look at you. You're an honors student, engaged with the girl you met in high school, and living on your own. You're practically an adult now."
Tyler sighed.
"Josh. You're only still here because I want you here. You keep me happy. You know what to do when I'm stressed, sad,or having those weird thoughts."
"But you're 21 now. Shouldn't you have left this imaginary friend of yours?"
Imaginary friend. Tyler hated it when Josh called himself imaginary because he didn't seem imaginary towards him.
"Josh please. You know I hate it when you say that."
"But it's true Tyler! You know it is!" Josh started to yell, knowing they were about to hit an argument.
"Josh please. I don't want to argue with you." Tyler whispered.
"I get it. You don't want to argue with the truth and-"
"What truth Josh?!" Tyler started to yell.
"THAT YOU NEED ME TO LEAVE! IVE TRIED TO TELL YOU!"
"WHAT COULD YOU HAVE POSSIBLY TELL ME?!"
"you won't understand." Josh whispered. Sitting on the floor, against the wall, his head in his hands.
"Josh," Tyler said quietly. "You know I'll understand."
"You need to get over me,Tyler."
"But I can't."
"Why?"
"Because you're my friend and I love you. And I don't want to loose someone I love. Not again."
Josh looked up at Tyler.
"Tyler. You're building a family. Do you think your future kids would want to see their father talk to a wall?"
Tyler hugged Josh.
"I'm not forgetting you."
Josh hugged back, snuggling his head into Tyler's neck.
"And I never will."
