*Willow's POV*

Aubree has been bouncing off the walls from the second we woke up this morning. Her excitement is so strong that a neighbor called asking if she needed to call an ambulance for Aubree.

If you're wondering what she's so excited about to be mistaken by the neighbors of having a seizure, we're going to the dog pound to get a dog.

It's about 10 a.m. and I'm standing at the stove making breakfast when I feel arms wrap around my torso. I grin, leaning back into Aubree.

"Good morning baby," she murmurs, kissing my cheek.

"Good morning to you too, babe, although you've already told me that about six times today."

"I can't help it!" she shouts happily as she twirls away from me and barely avoids the kitchen island. I chuckle, turning around and crossing my arms. "It's just so exciting, aren't you excited?!"

"I'm very excited, now sit down and eat before you get vertigo and I actually do have to call an ambulance or something," I joke, with some seriousness behind it.

She pouts but sits down anyways, putting my nerves to rest thankfully. I put a plate of pancakes in front of her, and she gives me a cute close lipped smile that makes her cheeks look like a chipmunk.

"Thank you, Willow," she says innocently, tearing into her breakfast like a bulldozer. I laugh as I sit across from her, biting into my own pancakes.

After breakfast, we showered and got dressed. Aubree takes way longer than me, because she actually worried with makeup to go to a dog pound.

"Aubree, hurry up!"

"Beauty takes time, okie?!"

I groan, plopping down on the couch and flipping through TV channels, finding some old Supernatural reruns. Sam looks so fetus.

A little while later, Aubree comes trudging out complaining about uneven eyeliner.

"Babe, it looks fine," I say, inspecting her face critically. She widens her eyes, shoving her face closer.

"Do you see that uneven wing?"

I roll my eyes, grabbing Aubree's hand and dragging her out of our apartment, ignoring her complaints.

After we finally get ourselves out of the apartment and into the car, we start driving the short ride to the dog pound. When I pull into the parking lot, Aubree's got a smile going on that could break her face in half.

We get out of the car, and I take her hand as we walk into the building. A young woman smiles kindly at us as we walk in.

"Hello, how may I help you ladies today?"

"We're here to adopt a dog!" Aubree shouts excitedly.

The woman laughs and nods, walking away and beckoning for us to follow her. She leads us down a long corridor into a big room with tons of cages lining the walls, a dog in every one of them. When the dogs see us, we're bombarded with barks, loud and squeaky.

"These are all our dogs up for adoption. There are little information tags on the door of their cage, so you can read a little about them. If you want a bigger space to play with them, I will put a leash on them and take the dog out into another room so he has more room to run. Sound good?"

I nod and smile. "Yes, thank you."

We look around at all the dogs. There are so many to choose from and they're all too cute. A little pitbull pup catches my eye, and I walk to the cage. The puppy yips at me and jumps at the cage happily.

"Aww, aren't you a cute little guy!" I coo, gingerly putting my fingers through the holes so he can sniff me. I look at the tag; "Lightning. Approx. 4 months old."

"Babe! Come look at this puppy!" I call, and Aubree comes over to me, awwing at the puppy licking and nibbling at my fingers.

"He's so cute! Come look at the puppy I found!"

She leads me to the other end of the room, pointing at an adorable German Shepherd puppy. I read the tag; "King. Approx. 5 months old."

"Hey there little guy!" Aubree gushes, petting the dog through the cage. He yips happily, rolling over onto his back so she can pet his stomach.

"Okay, this pup is really cute," I admit, scratching behind his ear. "But so is Lightning." I pout.

"We can get both of them!" Aubree suggests excitedly, smiling at me.

"Babe. Two puppies can be a lot of work."

"But there's two of us, and we can each take care of one dog. C'mon babe, pleeeeease?"

I raise my eyebrow, and she gives me puppy dog eyes for effect. I sigh.

"Fine. I can't say no to that face."

She cheers, hugging me and kissing my cheeks. I love her happiness.

"We'll take both of these," I say to the woman.

>^<

Getting both puppies out of the building and into the car was a breeze, just driving with them climbing around everything was difficult. They would not sit still.. Although I'm very glad the two puppies took to each other like best friends.

Aubree is loving it; she took hundreds of pictures, uploading them to Instagram and Facebook and editing them, you name it.

When we get home, she looks over at me. I smile at her as Lightning jumps into my lap.

"Babe, you're amazing," she comments, leaning forward and brushing her fingers over my cheek. She pulls my face to hers, kissing my lips delicately.

We don't kiss for long, because King wiggles his head in between us, licking our faces. I laugh as Aubree yells, "Eww!" and wipes the puppy's saliva off her face.

I'm so happy we added two more members to our family.
