I woke up in the same bed with my body still bound. I turned my head to the side and saw that the chair was still empty. "Where has mum been these past 2 weeks?" I looked over when I heard the door open. My eyebrows nitted together in confusion when I saw that the nurse had thick white bandaging covering her neck.

She also had a few bruises and cuts on her face, though most of her face was bandaged too. "Uh Miss Nurse? I hate to be rude but uh what the hell happened to you? You look like you just got hit by a bus." The nurse looked down at me and shook her head slightly. "Oh um ok." She offered me food and when I declined it, she left, leaving me more confused than ever.

Over the course of the next week we went through the same routine. Every time I would ask the nurse about what had happened to her she would just shake her head. She came in that day and I asked her how long it had been since the Headmaster had come. She held up her hand, showing five fingers. I sighed.

"When am I going to be able to go to Diagon Alley? I want to get it over with." I sighed heavily and closed my eyes. I heard the door open again and I opened my eyes and looked over I was shocked. It was Jeremy.

"J-Jeremy?" He threw a bag of something on my bed, not meeting my gaze. "Get dressed I'll be waiting outside your room." His voice was rough and scratchy, almost like he had been crying. I took a deep breath and looked to the nurse. She had started unbuckling the straps.

When she was finished I sat up slowly and was confused when I saw long deep scratched on my arms. I knew I wouldn't get an answer out of the nurse so I didn't ask. I grabbed the bag and was relieved when I saw it had some of my normal clothes in it. I went to the bathroom and quickly slipped them on.

When I came out the nurse was gone and the door was open. I poked my head out the door cautiously. I started walking down the hallways, my converse making no noise on the tile. I passed a few people in the hallways. They kept giving me strange looks and one woman even screamed.

I had to clench my fists to prevent myself from lashing out at the people. I reached a waiting room area and looked around. I spotted Jeremy sitting in a corner, flipping through a magazine. I walked over to him. "Uh hi Jer." He looked up from his magazine and gave me a cold look.

"What!? Why are you looking at me like that!?" Jeremy grabbed my arm roughly and pulled me outside. "I know I k-killed Dad but it wasn't me...it was the Daevas...Jeremy you have to know I would never do something like that to Dad..." My voice cracked and I choked back a sob.

Suddenly Jeremy was right in my face. "I don't care if it was you or the demon but one of you killed Dad and one of you also put mum in the emergency room."
