Olivia headed back outside after putting dry clothes back on and freshening herself up a bit. As she walked outside, she saw Nick building a small fire next to the pond. She noticed that the gazebo had been lit up by soft white lights and the sky was completely consumed with flickering stars. The beautiful music of the bullfrogs and crickets were still playing and she closed her eyes, taking in the moment. The air smelled like fresh cut grass and she breathed in the magical scent of summer. The wind was blowing delicately making the tree branches and Olivia’s hair sway gently and she stepped off the back deck and started walking towards Nick.
When Nick looked up at Olivia from his spot on the blanket he had laid down, he felt his breath catch in his throat. Olivia’s hair had dried into a subtle wave and her bangs were hugging right above her eye. The orange glow from the fire made her look even more radiant than he could have imagined and he had to stop himself from staring so intently. He reached up and grabbed her hand, pulling her into him.
“So what’s the surprise?”
“Well, you kind of ruined it.”
“Ruined it? How did I ruin it?” she asked, poking him in his side.
“I had this elaborate plan to have a picnic next to the water, but you wouldn’t keep your hands off me and now there’s no time to cook anything.”
“I couldn’t keep my hands off of you, huh? That’s not at all how I remember it . . .”
“Regardless, how do you feel about s’mores for dinner?”
“I think s’mores would really hit the spot, actually,” she smiled.
Nick stood and walked towards the gazebo, grabbing a bag and two poker sticks and headed back towards Olivia. He laid everything out and put a couple of marshmallows on Olivia’s stick and she stuck them in the fire, turning them every couple of seconds. She noticed out of the corner of her eye that Nick had stopped moving and she turned to look at him.
“Are you staring at me, Mr. Cereno?”
“Mr. Cereno? I’m sorry, I don’t think we’ve met. My name’s Nick.”
“Oh, my fault,” she winked.
Before Olivia had time to turn back around towards the fire, Nick had grabbed the back of her head with one hand and pulled her lips into his. Olivia dropped her marshmallows and let them melt into the fire. She turned into him and lay on top of his body and she felt the warmth radiating from underneath of her. She could feel Nick shaking and she squeezed his hand to keep it still. His tongue smashed into hers, gliding in and out of her mouth. He bit her lower lip, causing a moan to escape from Olivia’s throat. It felt electrical and it didn’t matter how cliché the word sounded.
He could see the fire in her eyes. She wanted him, but not more than he wanted her. He wanted to feel her closeness. Olivia felt the hardness pushing through Nick’s jeans and she pushed herself into it to feel it more. She bit his lip in a playful way causing him to sigh loudly as his desire for her built. He grabbed her chest and roughly moved his hand down her side before grabbing her ass and pulling her into him. She was breathing heavily, wanting more. She reached down and unbuttoned his jeans and tried to shimmy them off of him. He followed her lead and stripped down to nothing.
She sat breathless, watching his naked body become illuminated by the fire, completely impressed with what she was seeing. The glow of the fire hitting Nick’s muscular stomach formed shadows on his body and she bit her lip impatiently. He pulled her shirt over her head and threw it on the dewy grass. He slid her shorts off carefully and gently and kissed her inner thigh. The feeling of his wet tongue gliding up and down her thigh with a couple of soft bites caused a sense of urgency in Olivia. He placed his hands on her hips, squeezing tightly and he brushed his warm lips over the top of Olivia’s black silk thong, sending chills up her spine.
He moved up and one handedly unhooked her bra and removed it, placing his lips, then his tongue on her chest. She was breathing harder now. She slipped her black lace thong off her legs, kicking them, and they landed in the pond causing a quiet splash but neither of them paid it any attention. Olivia pushed Nick off of her and down onto his back and she kissed his stomach, moving further down, licking the inside of his thigh before moving in towards the middle. She glided her tongue and mouth in an up and down motion, causing Nick’s toes to curl. He grabbed her hair, pulling on it slightly, making Olivia’s fire burn wildly.
“You’re shaking,” she whispered, still holding onto his stiff shaft.
“Because I want you.”
“Then do it already.”
Nick grabbed his recently thrown jeans and fished out a silver wrapper out of the pocket before slipping it on. He climbed on top of her and kissed her neck tenderly and she wrapped her hands around his hips, pulling him into her. He slid himself inside of her and Olivia tilted her head back and arched her waist into him. They lay under the blanket of darkness making love and time stood still. It made it all the more magical being outside next to the soft glow of the fire, feeling the emotions and the cool wind blowing all around while the stars speckled up above them and the bullfrogs and crickets sang their song.
Olivia let out a loud groan before Nick fell off to the side of her onto his back. They laid in silence for a moment, trying to catch their breath and Olivia slipped underneath of Nick’s arm, resting her head on his chest. He ran his fingertips over Olivia’s flushed body and kissed her gently on the top of her head. It didn’t need to be said, but both of them were feeling a sense of fulfillment, a sense that all was right in the world. They didn’t want this night to end.
“I wanna stay,” Olivia said almost half asleep.
“I’d love for you to stay but we’ve got school tomorrow, darlin’.”
Olivia groaned and looked up into Nick’s eyes.
“Well, at least it won’t be awkward.”
