Lucy and I sat inside watching the rain fall down the window. It was so boring. Peter and Susan decided to play their own game but Peter wasn't very impressed by the choice. It seemed to be the only thing that they could do though. Then Lucy came up with the brilliant idea of playing hide and seek. "But we're already having so much fun." Peter said sarcastically. Susan sighed and gave her brother an evil glare. "Come on Peter, please!" Lucy gave him her adorable puppy dog eyes which were irresistible. "1, 2, 3, 4..." Peter started counting. Susan once again sighed but ran out of the room to hide.

I have never been good at hide and seek. This was extremely evident when I ran to our bedroom and hid in the wardrobe. It was very uncomfortable. Peter got to 100 and I quickly closed the door so I was standing in the darkness.

I heard Peter's footsteps come into the room. I put my hand over my mouth to muffle my breathing but that didn't stop my scream when Peter opened the door. He laughed when he saw how scared I got and I let out a small giggle but I didn't find it too funny.

As we walked down the corridors we heard Lucy shout, "It's alright, I'm back! I'm alright!" We ran towards the shout to find Edmund's head sticking out from behind some curtains and a confused Lucy standing in the middle of the corridor. "I don't think you two have quite got the idea of this game." Peter said. Susan must have heard us because she came running up to us. "Does this mean I win?" She asked with a grin on her face.

"I don't think Lucy wants to play anymore."

"But I've been gone for hours." Lucy defended. She gave a confused look then lead us up to a room with only a wardrobe inside. "There's a woods in the back of the wardrobe. I met a fawn Mr Tumnus. We had tea together but I fell asleep."

Lucy spoke about this place called Narnia as we investigated the wardrobe. There wasn't any trees or snow or fawns in the back of the wardrobe. "Lucy, I'm sorry. There's no woods at the back of the wardrobe." I said with an awkward smile. I had never squashed a child's imagination before.

"One game at a time Lu. We don't all have time for your imagination." Peter said.

We were all about to walk off when Lucy grabbed my arm and pulled me back. "You believe me, don't you Ivy?" She asked. The three other children watched as I thought about my response. "Let's make a deal. The next time you go to Narnia come to me and take me with you. That way I can see it for myself." I answered with a smile. Lucy smiled back and hugged me. I hugged back and then walked to the bedrooms with the Pevencies.

Before I walked through the door to my bedroom, Peter latched onto my shoulder and pulled me out again. "Why did you encourage her?" He asked. His eyes glared at me but all I thought about was what I would say. "I don't like to see children's imaginations lost. It's hard enough that we've been moved away from our families so this is probably just a way of dealing with home sickness. She'll get over it soon." I finally replied, shaking his hand off of my shoulder and walking back into my room to read.
