While following the beaver, I dragged behind to talk to Edmund. "Are you okay?" I asked.

"Yes. Why?" He asked back.

"You don't look yourself. You look... distracted. Maybe scared. What's going on?"

"Nothing."

"There must be something."

"I said there's nothing wrong." Edmund walked faster, leaving me behind. Susan noticed his outburst and my look of guilt. She slowed herself down so she walked beside me. "What's wrong with Edmund?" She asked.

"I don't know. He just doens't seem happy. He hasn't done since we got here. Something's definately wrong."

"He's probably just annoyed because Peter moaned at him. He'll be fine." I really hoped Susan was right. "Don't worry. You didn't do anything wrong by talking to him."

We appeared from behind a cliff and onto a small hill overlooking a small home. "Looks like the old girl's put a kettle on." Mr Beaver said. As he and Lucy were talking I couldn't help but look over at Edmund who was once again distracted.

As we approached the house, a voice shouted from inside. "Beaver it that you?" A woman asked. "I've been worried sick! If I find out you've been with Badger again I-" Mrs Beaver appeared and stopped when she saw us five walking behind Mr Beaver. "Oh, I never thought I'd live to see this day." She seemed so happy to see us but I didn't understand why. Her and Mr Beaver started bickering but I couldn't hear them. I kept watching Edmund. He wasn't himself. We were led inside of the house with Edmund trailing behind.

We sat at their table, bunched together. Edmund sat on the stairs, constantly looking back at the door. "Isn't there anything we can do to help Mr Tumnus?" Peter asked.

"They'll have taken him to the Witch's. You know what they say." Mr Beaver answered. "There's few that go through them gates that come out again."

"But isn't there any way to get him out?" I questioned.

"I don't know." Mrs Beaver threw us plates of fish and chips before sitting herself down.

"There is hope, dear. Lots of hope." She reasurred.

"There's a lot more than hope. Aslan is on the move."

"Who's Aslan?" Edmund asked as he finally joined us at the table. Mr Beaver started laughing but stopped when he realised that we were serious. "You don't know, do you?"

"We haven't really been here long." Peter said.

"He's only the kind of the whole wood. The top geezer. The real King of Narnia!"

"He's been away for a long while." Mrs Beaver added.

"And he's just got back! And he's waiting for you near the Stone table."

"Waiting for us?" Lucy asked.

"They don't even know about the prophecy!" Mr Beaver sighed. "Look, Aslan's return, Tumnus' arrest, the secret police. It's all happening because of you."

"You're blaming us?" Susan asked.

"No, not blaming. Thanking you."

"There's a prophecy: 'When Adam's flesh and Adam's bone sits at Cair Paravel in throne, the evil tie will be over and done.'" Mr Beaver explained.

"It's long been foretold that two Sons of Adam and three Daughters of Eve will defeat the White Witch and restore peace to Narnia."

"And don't forget the second one."

"What second one?" I asked.

"One Daughter of Eve will come to claim revenge on her father's death. You, Ivy, have to make sure that the Witch is surely gone. You will stand on the front line and help lead the army."

"Me? I don't understand."

"Wait, don't jump to conclusions here. You seriously think we're the ones?" Peter asked.

"You'd better be because Aslan's already fitted out your army."

"Our army?" Lucy shouted. As the Pevensie's and the Beavers were talking I turned my attention to Edmund, who had disappeared. I slowly walked over to the stairs to see if he was there but the door was open and Edmund was no where to be seen. "Peter." I said. No one listened. "Hey!" I shouted. Everyone turned to look at me. "Edmund's gone." The Pevensie's all stood up in shock. "I'm going to kill him." Peter exclaimed.

"You may not have to." Mr Beaver said. "Has Edmund ever been to Narnia before?" Our hearts all sunk as we realised what was happening. Edmund had gone to find the White Witch.
