I knew Edmund was up to something but no one else noticed. Susan didn't believe me and no one else bothered to realise. Now we were running through the woods to the top of a cliff where we saw the White Witch's castle. Edmund was opening the door and was about to step inside. Lucy cried his name but Mr Beaver shushed her. Then Peter ran forward. "No!" Mr Beaver shouted as he tugged on Peter's coat and pulled him back. "You're playing into her hands."
"We can't just let him go!" Susan exclaimed.
"He's our brother." Lucy said.
"He's the bait. The Witch wants all five of you." Mr Beaver said.
"Why?" Peter asked.
"To stop the prophecies from coming true. To kill you!" We all looked at each other in shock.
"This is all your fault." Susan shouted at Peter.
"My fault?" Peter questioned.
"None of this would have happened if you all would have listened to me in the first place."
"So you knew this would happen?"
"I didn't know what would happen. Which is why we should have left while we still could."
"Stop arguing!" I yelled. Everyone looked at me. "This isn't going to help Edmund."
"She's right." Mr Beaver said. "Only Aslan can save him now."
"Then take us to him." Peter ordered.
We were walking back down the cliff when Susan walked beside me again with her head down. "I should have listened to you when you said something was wrong with Edmund. I'm sorry." She said. "It's okay. No one could have predicted this." I said back. Mr Beaver shushed us again and we stood still and in silence. In the distance we could hear wolves. They were getting closer. "The Queen sent them. Run, quickly!" He yelled. We all rushed back to the house where Mrs Beaver was waiting for us.
We got there and burst through the door. "Quick! They're after us!" Mr Beaver yelled. We all started to pack food into a bag for the journey. Then we could hear the wolves right outside. They started scratching at the wood and barking. Mr Beaver ushered us down a tunnel where we crouched and tried to run as fast as we could. Peter and I both had torches to guide us. Peter was behind the beavers and I was behind the group. Lucy tripped and I helped her get back up when we heard the wolves again. "They're in the tunnel." Lucy whispered. We ran faster but then we came to a dead end where there was a hole at the top of the tunnel.
We all climbed through and ended up outside in the snow. There was a grunt as Lucy had falled over some stone. The stones were animals. Mr Beaver walked over to one, a badger. "He was my best mate." He mumbled. I helped Lucy up and wrapped my arm around her shoulder. "What happened here?" Peter asked.
"This is what becomes of those who cross the Witch." A voice said. We were all startled as a fox, who we thought was a wolf, came closer. "Take one more step traitor and I chew you to splinters." Mr Beaver threatened.
"Relax, I'm one of the good guys."
"Well you look and awful lot like one of the bad ones."
"An unfortunate family resemblence. We can argue breeding later. Right now we've got to move." Barks got closer."
"What did you have in mind?" Peter asked.
The fox made us climb a tall tree which overlooked the tunnel exit. I had only just made it up when the wolves arrived. I couldn't climb trees to save my life. Peter had to try to lift me up with his free arm, as his other was around Lucy. I sat on the branch next to him, hugging the trunk with my right arm so I didn't fall. The wolves surrounded the fox and interrogated him. We watched as he was bitten by one of the wolves who wouldn't let go. The fox was in so much pain and we couldn't do anything about it. "North, they ran north." He lied. The wolf threw the fox to the ground then the pack ran off.

Omg I haven't updated in ages! So sorry.
For the past month a lot has gone on. We've had Christmas so I spent a lot of time either with family or doing homework. Now I'm back at school and I get mountains of homework so I don't get a lot of time to update. Hopefully I'll be able to publish another chapter in the next week or so but I'm not promising anything.
Thanks for reading :)
