Part 9

"So Kyungie how is Mori doing?" Baekhyun plopped next to Kyungsoo on the couch. Kyungsoo looked up from his book with a raised brow.

"He's fine...and literally in the next room over. I'm pretty sure you walked past him to get here." Kyungsoo put his book down and turned to face Baekhyun. "What's this really about?"

"Well it's mother's day so Chanyeol took the kids to go visit his mother..." Baekhyun blushed and looked at his hands.

"Does his mother still not like you?" Kyungsoo asked surprised. "It's been ten years and you two have like, what five thousand, kids together."

"Just six..." Baekhyun looked sad and put his hand on his small stomach. "Well soon it'll be seven."

"You're pregnant again?" Kyungsoo raised his brows in amazement.

"Yeah...I found out last week but Channie doesn't know yet."

"Who all knows?" Kyungsoo asked.

"The rest of the omegas and Lay." Baekhyun said. "Though with Tao knowing I have no doubt that Kris and Kyoya know now."

"Kris and Kyoya won't tell anyone." Kyungsoo reassured. "You're like the perfect mate though...I'm just confused as to why she doesn't like you."

"I'm from the city, that's her biggest dislike." Baekhyun laughed. "When I first met her she said I wasn't strong enough to give Channie cubs."

"Oh please just because you were raised in the city doesn't mean you are weak. You and the rest of Chen's pack ran around the wild for years without most things that people in packs use." Kyungsoo ranted. "If anything she's weak because our pack is so modernized and she lives a life of luxury."

"Thanks Kyungie!" Baekhyun pulled Kyungsoo into a tight hug. Kyungsoo gently rubbed Baekhyun's back to comfort him.

"Well this is a heartwarming sight." Kyungsoo looked up to see Kai leaning against the entryway with a smile. "What's going on?"

"Chanyeol's mom." That was all Kyungsoo needed to say before Baekhyun burst into tears. Kai ran forward and pulled Baekhyun into his own hug, Baekhyun nuzzled his face in Kai's neck like he used to for comfort ten years prior. Kyungsoo still rubbed Baekhyun's back and hummed lowly for added comfort.

"Luhan and I have warned her on multiple occasions already to be nice." Kai growled. "I don't know what else we can do."

"It's not that she's mean anymore..." Kyungsoo trailed off. "She's just...well...you've met the woman!"

"Yes...if I'm correct, when she first saw me she slapped me for 'stealing you away from Chanyeol'" Kai chuckled darkly.

"She hates me!" Baekhyun wailed. "My mother-in-law hates my guts!"

"Is that why you cried when Jongdae called us his kids?" Kai questioned, Kyungsoo gave him a questioning glance which Kai ignored. Baekhyun nodded and sniffed.

"I rarely see my own mother." Baekhyun frowned. "Minseok is similar to her as Jongdae is to my father."

"I thought you hated your mother?" Kyungsoo asked, still clearly confused.

"No...I love her...it's just that sometimes she's too protective but I understand why now." Baekhyun looked up at Kyungsoo slowly. "She went through a lot."

"How about we visit her?" Kai suddenly said surprising the two omegas.

"What about the pack? You and Luhan run it together, you can't just disappear!" Kyungsoo protested, Baekhyun nodded fiercely.
