Part 12: Kyungsoo Special

"You know there's a really big battle going on out there." Kai said, he was sitting in their room watching the battle through a window. Kyungsoo was reading a book while laying his head in Kai's lap.

"Are you worried?" Kyungsoo put his book aside to stare at his mate.

"A little." Kai admitted. "Are you not?"

"Not really, I know everyone will make it through this." Kyungsoo smiled, Kai looked down and returned the smile. He ran his fingers through Kyungsoo's hair and sighed.

"I can't help it." Kai leaned down to kiss Kyungsoo's forehead.

"Wanna hear some stories to take your mind off of it?" Kyungsoo asked, Kai nodded happily.

"Gladly!"

"Well I have a few, not many seeing as I didn't meet the others until I was like ten."

"Kyungsoo love wake up." Kyungsoo opened his eyes to see Ryeowook standing above him. "It's time to go meet the other children."

"I don't wanna." The young Kyungsoo whined. "They'll hate me."

"Now why is that?" Ryeowook asked surprised. "You were so excited last week."

"They'll make fun of me!" Kyungsoo said like it was the most obvious thing in the world. "I'm tiny thus an easy target!"

"Where is the world did you get that idea?" Ryeowook put his hands on his hips and eyed his only son.

"Uncle Donghae said-"

"That's all I need to hear." Ryeowook groaned. "Listen Uncle Donghae is an idiot."

"So he lied to me?" Kyungsoo sat up in shock.

"Look let's just go meet some new friends!" Ryeowook smiled. "I'll take care of Uncle okay?"

Kyungsoo nodded and Ryeowook tried not to coo at his ten year old as he ran to his closet to find some clothing. As the only son of the main beta and the only omega born into the next generation of Xiao Kyungsoo was raised away from the other children and away from most of the pack. Siwon saw Kyungsoo's large eyes and heart shaped lips as an invitation to have other packs trying to kidnap his son so he demanded that Kyungsoo be a secret from the rest of the world until Siwon felt he could ensure Kyungsoo's lasting safety. To Ryeowook and Siwon Kyungsoo was the blessing they had always prayed for, and at the age of ten Kyungsoo would finally get to meet the other teens (Ryeowook also hoped Kyungsoo would be the destined mate of one of them).

"Papa come on!" Kyungsoo looked over at his father from his closet. "I have to look good today! I need some help."

"So your Siwon's son?" Kyungsoo shyly nodded at Donghae's beta son, a sixteen year old named Chanyeol. "How old are you?"

"I'm ten." Kyungsoo politely said. In all honesty Chanyeol annoyed him, he was only polite to the other for his parents' sake. When Chanyeol first opened his mouth he wanted to hit the tall man with his little fists...not that the other children were much better.

"Such a cutie!" Lay pinched his cheeks. "It's so nice to finally be meeting you!"

"We haven't heard much about you." Kris smiled. "Well Luhan knows a lot about you but only because Leeteuk likes you."

"Leeteuk likes me?" Kyungsoo asked surprised.

"Well of course my dad does!" Kyungsoo was pulled into a hug by Taeyeon. "Who wouldn't like a cutie like you?"
