For anyone who is reading this and thinking that this is a book about depression. This is not a depression story. This story is about overcoming obstacles in our lives. Yes, Lauren definitely went through some hard times but that all contributed to who she has become. To anyone who is offended by self harm, I am not making light of it. This is just an example of how even when we are in our darkest places we can look on the bright side and come out alive. But I never said uninjured. No matter what kind of pain you're in you'll make it out.
