Chapter 5
So our plan against Luke is in action today.
Ding, ding, the lunch bell rings. All of the freshman class rushes to the cafeteria. I give Emily a go ahead look, and she gives me one back. Our plan is in action.
Emily and I sit on both sides of Luke today at lunch. When all of our friends arrive, Emily tells us all she has an announcement to make, "Luke and I are dating." I try to hide my sinister smile, I make my mouth drop open and look at Luke.
"What?" I almost shout. Luke has the most scared look on his face, knowing that the whole Johnsonville high school is looking at our table, and I'm making a scene. "Luke is dating me, Emily." I say in the most bratty an loudest way I can.
"No, he is mine." Emily says pulling on one of his arms.
"No, Luke is mine." I say pulling on the other arm. This goes on for quiet a while, until the lunchroom teacher asks us to all three step out into the hallway with her.
"What is the matter, ladies?" She asks, but she knows and just wants us to tell her.
"She stole my boyfriend." I say as mad as I can get, it wasn't really a struggle being as I was really mad at Luke not Emily, but I can still yell.
"No, YOU stole MY boyfriend." Emily says, getting red in the face.
"Ladies ladies, calm down, it will be ok, do you girls know each other?" the teacher, Mrs. Christa, asks.
"Yes, we USED to be best friends, until SHE stole MY boyfriend." I say getting louder as I go along.
"Ok, so don't let this one little thing ruin your friendship, let it ruin your trust and maybe love for Luke." Mrs. Christa says, just like we practiced.
"No, you know what! I am breaking up with Luke and I am NEVER going to be friends with Grace ever again!" Emily says as she storms to her locker.
"I wouldn't want to be friends or a girlfriend to a person who would betray another person!" I say, " goodbye Luke!" I storm to my locker also, leaving Mrs. Christa and Luke.
"What just happened?" Luke says
"You just got dumped!" the teacher says, "you deserve it!"
All day long Luke just kept repeating...
