Emily, Amanda, and I stare at Liz, in awe of what she just said. "We will try our hardest to help you in all the ways we can." I promise Elizabeth.

"Okay, but please don't tell anybody, because I will get in big trouble!" Liz said, lowering her voice.

"How are we going to help you without telling anyone?' A troubled Amanda finally spoke up.

"I don't know?" Liz said as she shushed us. "please, just keep my secret."

"Okay." Amanda and Emily promised, I just kept my mouth shut and Liz didn't even notice I didn't promise.

We finished our shopping and we all walked back to my dad's house. My mind just kept spinning and couldn't get the fact that Liz did drugs through my head, I silently told myself that I would tell my mom and Liz would get the help she needed.

Later at Grace's mom's house.

I decided I would tell my mom at home instead of texting or calling her. Once I got home on Sunday I decided to tell her later tomorrow after school.

I barely got any sleep that night, thinking of Liz and her issue.

After school today, my mom told me she would listen to whatever I had to say, not really caring about any of my needs. Once I got her alone in my bedroom I told her, "So, mom, I made this new friend at school-" she cut me off.

"That's amazing Grace!" mom said half sarcastically, "Can I get back to the dishes now?"

"No, I'm not done. So this new friend, Liz, She has a problem and I need your help." I said determinedly.

"Will it take long? I am a very busy women." mom said, definitely annoyed.

"Mom, Liz does drugs and she needs help, she wants to get off of them!" I said getting annoyed that she wouldn't hear me out! But, she heard me alright, she looked like,
