"Christine," Erik said. He tried to catch up to her as quickly as he could, but she was farther ahead of him than he thought, "Christine!" he shouted, "Slow down!"

Christine looked behind her, she started to walk back towards Erik, but instead ran straight into him, "Ouch." she frowned and grabbed onto him before she could fall.

"Christine, are you alright?" Erik asked, he helped her up.

Christine hung onto him, "Erik I'm so sorry, I know you want me to tell him but I just couldn't." she buried her face into his jacket, "I'm so sorry."

Erik looked down at Christine and squeezed her tightly, he didn't know why she was so distraught about this, he wasn't angry with her, "Christine, it's okay."

"I'll tell him, I swear. I'm just terrified of what he'll say or what he'll do. I don't want him to lash out or start drinking again and I most certainly don't-"

"Christine," Erik interrupted, "Why are you worried about what he thinks?"

Christine looked up at him, she truthfully didn't know how to answer his question.

"This silence isn't promising." Erik mumbled, "You still love him, don't you."

Christine, again, remained silent. She pushed away from Erik and made her way back to their bedroom, where she proceeded to lay down with the covers pulled up over her face.

Erik silently followed, his mind raced, again, her silence wasn't very promising. He followed her into their room and sat on the edge of the bed next to her, "Christine, just tell me the truth, please. I won't be angry."

Christine shut her eyes tightly, trying to hold in tears but let them escape anyway.

Erik frowned and moved the blanket away from her face, "Christine, please." he uttered, "Why are you crying?"

"Loving him is all I've ever known, then you came and it was different, and at first I didn't love you, but I do now, that's all that should matter, isn't it?!" Christine sat up.

"I don't understand what you're saying, darling..." Erik's eyes started to become glossy.

"I can't help but to care for him at least, some part of me always will, and I'm scared that the bastard won't be in my life anymore if I tell him! I hate him so much, but no matter how horrible he was towards me there is some part of me that will always love him and I hate myself for it!" Christine tried to stop crying, but it only made her cry harder and louder, she moved away from him and grabbed onto the headboard as she stood, "Is that what you wanted," she looked over at him, "Because that's what you've got."

Erik just looked at her, he didn't want to feel anger or anything, but he did. He felt both jealousy and anger. I knew it. I can't believe this is happening. He thought to himself.

Christine wiped her face and eyes, "I should stop crying, I don't want you to think I'm weak." she snapped quietly, remembering his comment from earlier.

Erik looked at her with an almost gasp, "Christine," he growled.

Christine narrowed her eyes, "Oh, Christine," she mocked him, "Please tell me what's going on, I won't be angry."

"Stop it. Now." Erik stood, he looked at her with hurt in his eyes, "What are you doing? This is just you being pregnant crazy, right? It'll all be okay."

"I need to go talk to Raoul," Christine uttered, "I'll see you later," she moved and went to see if he was still lurking around.
