Blake's Birthday

I'm on my phone when I hear it go off. It's a text from Reece.

"It's Blake's birthday on Friday so we're throwing a surprise party for him and we were wondering if you wanted to come to the party."

"Hmm let me see I think I'm working that day..."

"No no I'm free, I'd love to come."

"Great, can't wait to see you."

I can't wait to see you.

Friday

It's Blake's birthday today so I'm off to Manchester with James and Sophie.

"Are you ready?" Sophie asks.

"Yeah I am, come on let's go." I reply.

James drives us to the train station.

"So at the party, no drinking and no getting up to anything... I'm mainly talking to you Amelia." James says as we sit down on the train.

"I'm nearly 18 and your not my dad." I say back.

"Don't be cheeky." James says.

"Let's stop with this sibling rivalry." Sophie says.

"Sophie doesn't get up to anything, why can't you be like her." James says.

"I'm not listening to this." I say as I put my earphones in.

I get a reply from Blake from a birthday text I sent earlier.

"Thanks Amelia, shame we couldn't celebrate together."

He has no idea.

The train journey goes by quickly. We get a taxi to our hotel, James, me and Sophie are all in one room.

"I'll text Reece and George to let them know we're here." James says.

"I've already let Reece know." I say.

"What? What's going on with you two." He says.

"There's nothing going on with us. I'm going to get ready!" I say storming off into the bathroom.

I text Reece. "I'm so done with James treating me like a child."

"We can talk about this later at the party ok." He replies.

I get ready for the party.

"You're looking fancy, who you trying to impress?" James asks.

"No one now leave me alone." I reply.

We get to the venue and Reece and George are there.

"Are you ok?" Reece asks.

"No I'm not." I reply.

Reece puts his arm around me and I push him off.

"Please don't, in case James sees." I say.

"We need to go inside as Blake will be here soon." Soulla says.

Everyone goes inside and hides. We wait for around 5 minutes until Blake gets here.

"SUPRISE!" We all shout.

"Oh my god, aha thank you all!" Blake says.

The music gets put on and everyone does there own thing.

"Do you want a drink?" Reece asks.

"Yeah and make it alcoholic." I reply.

Reece comes back with some drinks, he got me a cider.
