Chapter 14

I'M SOSOSOSOSOS SORRY FOR THE LACK OF UPDATES ON THIS STORY! I'VE BEEN SUPPEERRRR BUSYY!!!

But I'm back on a schedule...sort of.  Basically I'll try and update daily...starting Wednesday probably since I have an exam on Tuesday...which I should be revising for...PROCRASTINATION!

So I hope you like this chapter anyway...

*Matt’s POV*

It had been one week.  One week since the Hybrids had moved in.  One week I’ve had to put up with them for.  I had to be friendly to them, not because I liked them but because I liked Violet.  She had become so much closer to me in this week when she realised I was actually capable of showing my feelings, as she put it.  I think she was just glad I could be nice to Hybrids. 

It was Saturday today so I had decided to invite her over.  I was just thinking how I should style my hair when the doorbell rang.  She was early.  I glanced at the clock.  Nope, she was just on time.  I was late.

“Can someone get that?” I yelled down the stairs, deciding against styling my hair to perfection.

“Yep I’m on it!” I heard Jerome yell back.  It had to be a Hybrid to open the door didn’t it?  It couldn’t be a human could it?  The Hybrids always had to get in the way.  I kicked my bed in frustration just as Violet walked into my room.

“Oh, hey Violet!” I said, hiding my anger.  She smiled and I enveloped her in a hug, our usual greeting as of late.  She smiled her cute smile at me and I grinned back.

“What do you want to do today then?” She asked me sitting down on my bed.  I gulped.  It was now or never.

“Well, I kind of wanted to ask you something” She looked up at me, her eyes shining in confusion.

“Yeah?” She asked me.

“W-well I’ve liked you for a while now.  Like a lot, I’ve literally changed my whole personality for you just to make you like me back.  I love your eyes, your hair, you fashion.  I love everything about you Violet.  So what I wanted to know is.” I grabbed her hand and stood her up in front of me so I could look down into her eyes. “Will you be my girlfriend?”  I waited tentatively for her answer, watching her facial features range from shock to confusion to pure happiness and back again.

“Yes Matt, I will be your girlfriend.” I grabbed her into a hug, picking her up and twirling her around.  Halfway through the turn our lips found each other and I slowly lowered her to the ground, our lips still locked in their embrace.  We broke apart and I looked down at her.

“I love you Violet”

“I love you too, Matt”

*Mitch’s POV*

“MITCH! MITCH” I groaned and rolled over. Didn’t Jerome know that Saturday was my lazy day?  Jerome was still yelling my name in the background.  I groaned again and put a pillow over my head just wanting to go back to sleep.  Jerome wasn’t having any of this.  He leapt up on my king sized bed and started jumping up and down. “MITCH! IT’S SATURDAY BIGGUMS!”  I removed the pillow and rolled onto my back.  He was stood on my bed next to me.  I glared at him before closing my eyes to go back to sleep.  This did not make Jerome happy.  He jumped and managed to land on his knees with his legs either side of me.  Story short he was sat on my stomach.  I groaned at the sudden pressure.

“Jerome move your fat ass” I said rubbing the sleep out of my eyes and self consciously trying to fix my hair. 

“I do not have a fat ass” Jerome said, pretending to be hurt. “And you need to get up” He whined, hitting me on the chest.

“Why it’s like 3 in the morning” I whined back at him.

“Mitch, it’s 1 in the afternoon.  You need to get up.  Now.” I widened my eyes. Had I really slept in for that long?

“Why do I need to get up?” I grumbled, still annoyed he had woken me up.

“I’m all lonely and bored.  Everyone’s out except Matt and his friend.  I want you with me Mitch” Jerome said grabbing my hands between his huge furry ones.  I smiled and tried to push him off me.

“It would be really helpful if you would let me up Jerome” I said cheekily to him.  He whacked me over the head before turning serious.

“I want to do something first” My heart sped up.  What did he want to do?  What did he want to do that required us to be in this position?

“W-what do you w-ant to do Jerome?” I asked him, my face flushing red as I stammered the sentence out.

“This” He said and slowly lowered his face to mine.  I instinctively closed my eyes, anticipating the feel of his lips against mine.  When I didn’t feel anything, I opened my eyes again.  He was just sitting there, frozen, and inch away from kissing me.  His eyes bore into mine, teasing me.  I wanted to kiss him so much, but I also didn’t want to be the person to cave first.  He placed his hands on my waist, his touch making me shiver.  He slowly moved his hand up my body and down my arms to my hands.  He grabbed them and pinned me to the bed.  My breath was coming out in short pants as I willed him to kiss me.  He slowly moved his face closer and closer to mine, moving his eyes down to his lips and keeping them there.  I waited, holding in my breath in anticipation.  His lips were a millimetre away from mine.

A second later he was up and off me, his laughter trailing out of the room and down the hall after him.  I sat there staring at the empty doorway he had just left through.  He was such a fricking tease.  I slowly stood up, still in my pyjamas and followed his laughter through the house and down to the kitchen.  He was sat at the island counter.

“Matt and Violet went out” He said as if talking about the weather, completely ignoring what had just happened.  He stood up and walked over to me. “Do you know what that means Mitch?” He whispered into my ear, carefully placing his hands onto my waist.  I shook my head not trusting myself to speak. “It means we have the house to ourselves” I looked into his eyes and smiled.

“For a whole day” I whispered back.  His eyes glinted with happiness as he slowly lowered his lips to meet mine.
