*Sky’s POV*

“Wait, what are we doing again?” The Hybrid asked.   I sighed.  How did he get into this school?

“We have PE therefore we are playing cops ‘n’ robbers” I explained for the 50th time.

“How do you play?” The Hybrid asked, again.

“It’s simple.  Escape the prison” I answered and before he could ask any more questions I stepped onto the pressure plate which would make me the “Warden” in this Pe exercise.  This was my favourite part of PE.  Playing this game for 2 hours!  Yes two hours of people trying to escape the prison and now I would be warden.  I put on my armour, grabbed my weapons and spawned into the prison, which was just outside of school.  The objective was to get back into school by break, which was two hours away.

I looked around at the cells.  In one cell were Mitch, Ty and Jason; next to them in a different cell were Bodil, Matt and the Hybrid, who looked terrified.  Matt and Bodil were ignoring him.

“Ohh Mr. Wardeeennnn” Mitch yelled. I shot him with my bow and he died and spawned in the dead cell.

“Well as you people know I am a very bad Warden.  I am mean but also really nice, I want to kill you all but I also want to hug and kiss you.” Yes, I was playing my usual bipolar warden.  Everyone loved it. I walked over to the cell with Ty and Jason. “I will let you all out if you dance for me.  DANCE FOR ME!” I yelled, shooting them in the feet.  They started jumping around, dodging all the arrows.  “Right, okay that’s enough you can come out.  Jason, go rescue Mitch, Ty come to me baby” I said, switching to my low voice as I talked to Ty.   He laughed and swaggered over to me. “Show me that booty Ty” I said, continuing my low voice.  He laughed and turned around crouching.

“Dat booty doughhh” I yelled.  He laughed and said:

“Do she have a booty? SHEEDOOO!”  I joined in shouting the sheedoo along with him. “But seriously Sky, I think you should let me escape” He said, turning serious.

“Well Mr. Deadlox” I said using his proper name, instead of his nickname, Ty. “You must use cunning and wits to escape yes?” I said in an English accent.  I got a message saying that the Wardens office had been opened. “Wait wha-MITCH, JASON GET BACK HERE” I yelled down the corridor, I heard a muffled scream and raced down the corridor after them.  I found them as they were going up the stairs to try and escape.  I killed them both instantly. I laughed and walked downstairs to find Matt and Bodil stood at the bottom, staring at me.

“Oh hey Sky” The Bulgarian said laughing his iconic laugh.

“Wait...how did you – it was Ty, wasn’t it” It wasn’t a question.  Ty must have let them out.  “Wait, did the Hybrid get out?”

“Um...yeah, he was too fast for Ty to close the door on him and now we don’t know where he is” Matt explained.  I cursed and killed them both, time to go Bacca hunting.

*Jerome’s POV*

I had managed to get myself stuck between two pistons in a library.  I knew better than to ask for help.  No one would help me.  It was alright for Mitch to pretend to be friendly towards me, but I knew he hated me just about as much as the rest of those stupid humans.  I sat down on the floor, thinking about my horrible first day, and it wasn’t even half over.  I felt like just leaving.  Getting out of here and never looking back but I couldn’t.  I had promised my parents that I would stay for at least the first term (Or semester if you’re American...I’m English so excuse the English words xD) I heard a muffled yell in the background and then silence.  I sighed.  I wondered what it would be like to be Mr popular like Mitch, or even to just be friends with him.  I guess I would never find out.  I suddenly heard footsteps coming towards me, the unmistakable sound of someone climbing a ladder.  Someone was coming; they were going to find me.  I secretly hoped it would be Mitch; he had been the nicest to me.  Well, he hadn’t exactly been nice but at least he didn’t glare at me at every opportunity he got like most people. I heard the mystery person press the button which opened the pistons and quickly stood up and backed out onto the ceiling.  It was Mitch.

“Jerome, what the hell are you doing here?” He yelled at me.

“W-well I g-got s-s-stuck between t-the pistons a-and couldn’t get o-out” I mumbled, stuttering here and there.  He looked at me for a second.

“Are you freaking kidding me” He finally said.  I nodded, hanging my head in shame, feeling tears well up in my eyes.  No Jerome, you can’t cry here.  Cry when you get home but not now in front of Mitch.  I tried to hold back my tears but I couldn’t, they escaped and I sunk to the floor sobbing.

*Mitch’s POV*

Jerome sunk to the floor crying.  Had I done that to him?  I felt pity and guilt boil inside me.  I guess I had forgotten that Hybrids had feeling as well; I had obviously been listening to Matt too much.  I stared at the furry ball that was Jerome and crouched down beside him.

“Jerome? I’m sorry if I’ve upset you” I put out a hand and placed it on his surprisingly soft fur.  He growled and flinched away from my touch, looking up at me.

“Don’t pretend like you care Mitch, none of you humans do.  You all forget that Hybrids are exactly like you guys, we just look different and have different eating habits.  That doesn’t make the part of us that is still human any less human.  Do you think most of us want to be like this?  No that’s right we don’t but you humans are too caught up in your own petty little problems to notice that Hybrids are being hurt and ignored.  No human cares for us.  Imagine how that feels” I was shocked by his sudden outburst.  I suddenly understood how wrong my views on Hybrids were.  I realised that Jerome needed caring for.  Jerome needed a friend, and I was going to be that person.  I slid my arm around Jerome, comforting him.  After a moment’s hesitation he launched himself on top of me and cried into my chest.  I just hugged him until he was finished.

“Jerome I cannot express how sorry I am. I guess I was living my life the way I was taught and not the way I wanted to live it.  I had spent too much time listening to others views than concentrating on my own.  I realise now that Hybrids are just like people, and I want other Humans to realise that too.  I promise you Jerome by the end of this term I will have just about everyone in the school realising that you guys are just as human as others.”

“D-do you r-really mean that M-Mitch?” Jerome gasped at me.  I nodded.

“Now let’s get out of here” I said and showed him how to escape the prison.  It turns out we were the first to escape so me and Jerome just sat talking and getting to know each other, realising how similar we really were.
