Walking into the cafeteria always turns heads. Especially if they know what day it is. Today is the day I pass out my invitations for my party and everyone is eager to see who I invite this year.

It's a party you'd definitely want to be invited to and if you get handed an invitation from the queen bee herself then it means you upgrade to the B-list. Which are the football players and cheerleaders level. To be an A-list you have to receive an invitation by the A-list who receives the silver envelope. Last year it was Jaime who received it and she invited Courtney. That's how Courtney became an A-list.

Sitting down, grinning, I clutch the envelopes in my hand. Their  white envelopes with gold swirls decorated on it. If you look closely enough the gold swirls spell my name Evangeline.

"These are invitation to my ball, my father specifically told them to make only one hundred. If you don't have one they charge you 30 bucks at the entrance. You guys know that the person to get a white and silver invitation instead of white and gold will be my VIP guest" last year it was Jaime who got the white and silver because she managed to push me up the waiting list to the new exclusive Fedoras hat.

"This years VIP guest is..." I pull out the envelope and flip it so they can read the name. "Zerena Skye!" She jumps up and hugs me. "Don't wrinkle my dress" I warn her. She grimaces and grabs the invitation. The VIP guest gets to be introduced by all the important guest by my mother at my ball. Last year my father introduced Jaime to Browns head mistress. Now she has a great chance of getting into Brown.

And...she gets to invite a new girl to become an A-list.

"What's the theme?" Brooklyn reads her invitation not finding it in there. I snatch her invitation away and pull a slip of paper that was in there with the invitation.

The girls peek in their envelopes and pull it out as well.

Heather reads off the piece of paper "The theme is a surprise. The day before the party you will receive a text message of the theme, stay tuned in." It was Natalie's idea. She wants to send out the message, so I'm just as clueless. I smile at the girls and sit down. When I look up Heather gives me a smirk. She thinks it going to be disastrous since I for once don't have everything planned ahead. I trust Natalie so she can shove that smirk up her ass

"Mother!" I walk towards her and she embraces me.

"Hello Evangeline" she offers me her suitcase and I help her carry it.

"Where's father?" She points to the back of the limo and there he is talking on his phone. Not a surprise.

"Where's Axel" mother ask opening the door to the house. Too be specific a Victorian house. "He's with Natalie" mother nods already occupying herself by setting up her laptop on the coffee table.

"Evangeline where's your brother. Princeton called telling me he's not keeping up with his business classes." He walks in the dining hall.

"Well hello to you too" I mutter.

I go in the kitchen and Star is busy making my mother's favorite dish which is lobster and oysters and my father's favorite pastries which is croissants filled with dark chocolate. I get my sweet tooth from father. My mother and Axel have taste for spicy food.

My father wants to set up a table with two chocolate fountains at my ball. One with milk chocolate and the other is dark chocolate. Its going to be gigantic, with fruits and marshmallows besides it. My father and I have an unhealthy addiction to dark chocolate. Speaking of.. "Father did you bring any chocolates?" He grins and reaches for his brief case. He pulls out a dark blue box tied with a white ribbon. "From Germany" he grins handing it to me.
