Your POV.

You can dashing into the lounge of the Akatsuki base, where everyone had congregated for movie night. You skidded across the floor before launching yourself onto the nearest couch, landing right next to your boyfriend of one month, Kisame. You grinned widely while others in the room simply rolled their eyes at your Tobi-ish behaviour.

"Hey Kisa!" You chimed. His eyes shifted to you.

"Hey, Y/N." You saw his mouth twitch as if he was going to smile, but he didn't. It made you frown internally. Where was his normal sharky grin? You curled up in a ball against his side and clung to his arm. You expected some kind of affection back, even a simple arm wrapped around your shoulders, but you didn't even get that.

For some reason, Kisame had been distant from you recently, and you could!don't put your finger on why. You couldn't recall doing anything wrong, anything that might have upset him, there was no real reason for it. It wasn't even like he was unaffectionate from the beginning, because he was. He was all over the PDA, but now? It was a different story, and it kinda hurt.

The movie began playing when Konan had finished prying Hidan away from the DVD player, but you couldn't concentrate on it. Your eyes kept shifting up to Kisame, watching him with suspicion, trying to read his body language and facial expressions, but he was blank as he stared ahead at the screen.

Part way through the movie he simply got up, pulling out of your arms, not saying a single word, though you heard the bathroom door click open then shut. You frowned and let out a long growling sound. Pein slammed his finger down on the pause button and everyone turned to look at you.

"Whats wrong with you?!" Hidan demanded and you looked slightly taken aback.

"I - uhh... what?" You furrow your eyebrows in wonder.

"Isnt it obvious?" Konan asks. "Kisame isn't being affectionate enough so she's upset." Konan explains and you ponder how the hell she knew that from a simple groan of annoyance.

"Why didn't you f*****g say so?!" Hidan exclaims with a grin, throwing his hands up in the air.

"I think we can help you out, there." Deidara says, looking over his shoulder at you with a smirk.

"E-eh?!"

"Just play along." Itachi says with a ghost of a smile.

"Yeah. You can thank us later." Sasori states just as the bathroom door clicks open and sounds of the toilet flushing are heard throughout the corridor. Kisame stops in the doorway with a raised eyebrow.

"What did you stop the movie for? What's going on?" He frowns, eyeing everyone around the room. There's and awkward silence where no one wants to give anything away.

"I was just asking Y/N-Chan to sit with me, is all." Deidara said with a nonchalant shrug. Good save. "And she said yes." Kisame turns to you with a confused look. Just play along.

"Uh, yeah." you nod, getting up and moving to the next couch over, which was surprisingly close to Kisame's usual place on his couch. Deidara and Sasori shuffle over and make a little room in between them. You plonk down in the small space. The two get comfortable, an the brush against you on both sides. Kisame sits down with narrowed eyes.

A little while later into the movie, Hidan turns around from his seat on the floor, amongst various beanbags and cushions.

"Hey, Y/N!" He whisper yells, catching everyone's attention, especially Kisame's. "Want some popcorn?!"

"Sure!" You whisper yell back.

"Come here then!" He returns, patting the spot next to him, dropping a wink which does not go unnoticed by Kisame. You sit next to Hidan on the floor and allow him to feed you popcorn. Kisame clears his throat. You both turn to look, but just continue.

A jumpscare in the movie makes you squeak and knock the bowl of popcorn flying, scattering across the floor.

"Are you afraid, Y/N?" Pein asks in amusement and you give a shy nod. "Why not you come sit over here with me, then..?" Kisame visibly tenses at the suggestion which, to his dismay, you accept, and sit next to Pein, while his arm wraps around you.

A while later, and Kisame is shuffling uncomfortably, Itachi decides to make the next move.

"Y/N, you like your hair plaited, right?" Itachi asks over the sounds of the movie. You nod and Itachi pats his lap, "then I'll braid it for you."

You perch on Itachi's lap as he begins to play with you hair, slowly braiding it. You feel someone grab your hand from the side of you. Sasori.

"You have such small, dainty hands, Y/N. Almost like a doll. Would you mind if I painted your nails?" He asks, when there's a loud slam sound.

"She might not mind, but I do! Everyone, leave my girlfriend alone!" Kisame snarls through bared teeth.

"She's your girlfriend? You're hardly acting like it." Kakuzu scoffs and Kisame pales.

"Mm. Why do you care if other people can make her happy, too?" Konan leans on her elbow and looks at Kisame pointedly.

"B-because... well.." he tries to get out, but can't.

"Exactly..." Deidara hums, turning to look at you with a mischievous look floating in his eyes.

"Because I love her!!" Kisame practically yells and the whole room falls into a silence as he burries his head in his hands to hide the lilac blush creeping onto his face.

"I love you, too, Kisa!" You chirp, leaping into his lap, wrapping him in a tight hug. His arms slowly creep around you as they start the movie again, tuning away. He finally looks up and you stare into his glittering eyes, in the dull room.

"But really, Y/N. I wanted to say it sooner, but I was nervous, I guess." He chuckle slightly, the lilac becoming more of a magenta. "I really do love you, Y/N."

This is the first one shot for the Akatsuki I've ever written. How was it? If it wasn't what you wanted, AshaBlitz, I will gladly change it! Just let me know!

I also had an idea, I saw it somewhere else in another book (I will credit if I remember where) of something I could do. Ships. Basically, you send me some info about yourself/ OC and I will tell you which member I ship you with, and write a little one shot thingy? ^.^ if you like that idea, let me know. It won't be yet, just something I'm considering, though I already have a LOT to do. *Passes out*
