"Thought you would escape Miss Potter?" He asked and raised one of his eyebrows.
I didn't have a clue on what to say.
"Actually yeah," I said pretty confidently.
"Well I could just put you into detention," he said grinning.
"You need to have a reason to put me in detention sir," I said and folded my arms. "And you don't seem to have one."
"I could say you were trying to escape another detention," he said smugly.
Oh no he wouldn't.
"What do you mean another detention! This isn't a detention!" I said. He was getting quite annoying now but I found his playfulness funny.
"Yes this is a lunchtime detention Miss Potter now please take a seat," he said gesturing me towards one of the seats.
He looked like he was trying to hold a laugh in. I could see it in his eyes he didn't mean anything he was doing. I decided to play along.
"Sir you can't put me into detention for blushing," I said trying to hold a laugh in.
"And why were you blushing Leah?" He asked and came towards my desk.
I started to feel the heat rise to my cheeks. Shit!
"You're doing it again," he said laughing.
"It's cause you're making me blush!" I screamed. "God is that what you wanted to hear?"
I regretted saying all that. I couldn't back out of it now.
"Oh I make you blush?" He asked pretending to be shocked.
"No I didn't mean that I-" I was cut off by someone knocking the door.
"Excuse me Dr Morrison, there's a meeting in C1 you have to attend now," a lady said.
My saviour! Although I don't know why I'm overreacting so much.
"Ok I'll be right there," he said then turned to me.
"Miss Potter you are excused from your detention," he said smirking.
I got up from my seat and headed for the door.
He was on his way out too and when I went to open the door, he did the same thing and our hands touched slightly.
It sent sparks flying through my body and I couldn't help but smile.
"Sorry sir," I said nervously.
"No worries," he said. I think I saw him smile a little too, nah probably just my stupid imagination.
He then opened the door for me. "After you," he said acting like a proper gentleman.
"Why thank you," I said giggling and curtseyed. He laughed with me too. I felt so stupid right now but since I was with him, I didn't really care. He made me feel different.
After lunch we had a double class of Religious Education. Such fun!
We don't even learn that much, our teacher is too busy going in and out of the classroom and not even telling us where he's going.
Sarah, who sits next me to me, was on her phone while I sat there thinking about Dr Morrison again.
Why is it in times like this where I've nothing to do, my mind floats back to him.
His perfect eyes, his smile, his hair, his personality. Thinking about him makes my heart flutter.
"So did you two make out earlier?" Sarah asked breaking me away from my thoughts.
She had to say that. Of all the things you could've thought of! Haha.
"What! No! Why would you even think that?" I asked in shock. I couldn't help but laugh with her on this one.
"I don't know, you came out looking so happy so I just assumed haha," she said shrugging.
"He was quite annoying," I told her. "Really?" She asked, she obviously didn't believe me.
"He claimed it was a detention I was in when really all he said was that it was a quick talk then I would leave," I explained.
"Maybe he just wanted some time alone with you," Sarah said with amusement in her voice.
I laughed at her silliness. Why would he want to spend time with me? I'm nothing special.
The bell went and so everyone headed home.
"Well didn't we learn SO much today in RE?" Sarah joked. "Oh yeah definitely!" I said playing along haha.
"I'll text you later?" Sarah said. "Yeah sure, maybe you could come over? I need to talk to you about something," I said nervously.
"Course I can! See you later," she called.
In RE I was having an argument with myself. I was working out whether I liked him or not. Whether these feelings I had for him were true.
I made my decision and decided I would tell Sarah, I didn't know who else to turn to.
Definitely not my parents. How embarrassing would that be?
I really am falling for him. Even though it's only been a few days. I barely know him and yet I can't stop thinking about him.
I wonder how Sarah's gonna react?
