Kaysly’s POV

I am ambushed with a video on the overhead screen, with Caden talking about his walk with Christ. I feel my shoulders tense up and it’s like my nervous system is reacting. I know I told myself that I would give him a chance but I’m sad to admit that I don’t want to be embarrassed. Embarrassed that he would mention me and his love for me when everyone else knows his reputation …

I stop my overflow of thoughts when I get a reminder of what I am all about.

For if you forgive men when they sin against you, your heavenly Father will also forgive you. But if you do not forgive men their sins, your Father will not forgive your sins. Matthew 6:14-15

that is exactly what brought him here right? I’ve always told him that "I know I've said this before but it's never too late to know God, and sometimes the people around you may put you down, but you have to take courage and stay strong ..." and “…. God makes things possible and that impossible is just a reason not to try."

But me, myself can’t enforce that law into my life.

The video starts with Caden stating his first and last name, and where he is from, and the big question …. How did his walk with Christ start?

The beginning starts him talking about how his Sunday morning started. He was nervous about going and that it was his first time. Then he mentions me … How I bribed him into going and that he gave in after I asked him the one millionth time.

I could see a few people in the rows ahead of me turning back to see me. I just kept my eyes on the screen asking God to give me strength. If this is what I got myself into in the began, then I should stick to it at the very end.

He confessed his love for me, but more importantly he confessed his love for God. He said through me he was saved and that he couldn’t imagine being with anyone else but me. He opened his bible and started talking about.

Genesis 24:1-28 when Abraham was told his servant to find a wife for his son Isaac.Soon after that, the servant loaded ten of Abraham's camels with valuable gifts.

When he got there, he let the camels rest near the well outside the city. It was late afternoon, the time when the women came out for water. The servant prayed: You, Lord are the God my master Abraham worships. Please keep your promise to him and let me find a wife for Isaac today.

The young women of the city will soon come to this well for water, and I'll ask one of them for a drink. If she gives me a drink and then offers to get some water for my camels, I'll know she is the one you have chosen and that you have kept your promise to my master.

While he was still praying, a beautiful unmarried young woman came by with a water jar on her shoulder. She was Rebekah, the daughter of Bethuel, the son of Abraham's brother Nahor and his wife Milcah. Rebekah walked past Abraham's servant, then went over to the well, and filled her water jar. When she started back, Abraham's servant ran to her and said,

“Please let me have a drink of water.” She said, “Drink, my lord.” And she quickly let down her jar upon her hand and gave him a drink.

When she had finished giving him a drink, she said,

“I will draw water for your camels also, until they have finished drinking.”

So she quickly emptied her jar into the trough and ran again to the well to draw water, and she drew for all his camels. The man gazed at her in silence to learn whether the Lord had prospered his journey or not.

When the camels had finished drinking, the man took a gold ring weighing a half shekel, and two bracelets for her arms weighing ten gold shekels

When the camels had finished drinking, the man took a gold ring weighing a half shekel, and two bracelets for her arms weighing ten gold shekels, and said,

“Please tell me whose daughter you are. Is there room in your father’s house for us to spend the night?”

She said to him,

“I am the daughter of Bethuel the son of Milcah, whom she bore to Nahor.”

She added,

“We have plenty of both straw and fodder, and room to spend the night.”

The man bowed his head and worshiped the Lordand said,

“Blessed be the Lord, the God of my master Abraham, who has not forsaken his steadfast love and his faithfulness toward my master. As for me, the Lord has led me in the way to the house of my master’s kinsmen.”

“You see this woman Rebekah was perfect for Isaac, she worshiped the Lord, and she proved to Abraham’s servant that she was also kind. Exactly what Kaysly did, just like Rebekah drew water for the servants’ camels and ran back and forth to the well and the camels, Kaysly took me back in she forgave me every time, she never judged me, she was kind … She is the best thing that ever happened in my life and I would trade anything for it not Zachery, not Richard. Who can find a virtuous woman? For her price is far above rubies.

One day I want to make her my wife, because I believe God said who finds a wife finds a good thing.”

The video faded out and it ended. I watched everyone, one by one get up from their seats applauding. I to got up from my seat to clap, I was more than convinced now. My friends and family were coming to me at the end of the service to ask me about what am I going to tell Caden in response to the video or are we dating …

I was thinking of how I would respond to all these questions when he stepped out of the church and his eyes wondering around for me. I waved my hand so he could see me and our eyes met.
