Prodigy

"hey" A.J. said to me when I came out of the bathroom

"hey" I said plainly

"uhh last night"

"yea?" "what of it?"

"ummm did you like... do anything to me in my sleep?"

"ha you wish no offense but uhh" "you're not my type"

"okay... cool I think"

"CRAIG MR. MILSAP IS ON HIS WAY UP" my mom called out from downstairs

"good morning prodigy" walter said walking into my room

"whaddup walt"

"just came by to tell you I need you, prince, roc and ray in the studio after school 2morrow"

"okay, cool"

he turned his attention to A.J.

"oh" "i'm sorry" "I didn't realize prodigy was having "company" " he said, yea, walter knows i'm gay

"he's not "company" walter he's my new foster brother A.J."

"oh my bad"

"it's okay" A.J. said

"young man you look familiar" walter said

"I do?" A.J. asked

"does a song named legendary mean anything to you?"

"uhhh yea that's a song I did a couple months ago"

"ha I knew I recognized you" "nice to meet you young man"

"you didn't tell me you did music" I said to A.J.

"I didn't tell you anything, you never gave me a chance to"

"and besides it was only one song"

"hmm ya know I never did spend time with you like my mom asked me to"

"well I guess now's your chance to"

"ok so how bout we take turns asking each other questions"

"cool"

"okay where were you born?"

"long island new York"

"where were you born?"

"west philly"

"okay when's your birthday?"

"October 31, 1997"

"when's yours?"

"December 26, 1996"

"uhhh what are you mixed with?"

"Argentinian, Australian, Black, Brazilian, and Hawaiian"

"okay now a more personal question"

"why do you have a girl's first name?"

"(sighs) my mom named after her parents"

"her moms name was Krisstenn Alexie and her dad's was Joseph Castillo"

"so your whole name is Krisstenn Alexie Joseph Castillo?"

"yea"

"so that's where "A.J." comes from?"

"yea"

"now can I ask you something?"

"sure I mean it is your turn"

"why do you hate me?"

"I don't hate you A.J."

"then why have you been such an asshole to me since I got here and DON'T swerve me this time"
