Chapter 5

Dan's POV

I decided to take the bus home this time since I really wasn't in the mood of walking. I could almost see all the fear in everyone's eyes as I went up the stairs of the bus. I recognized a few faces. One of them being a kid named Henry that I had bitten up last year. I could still see the terror in his eyes. The same that he had while I was hurting him. I used to never hurt people unless they messed with me. But I thought that wasn't enough since no one ever messed with me after they saw what I was capable of. So whenever I had a really bad day. Whether it was a fight with my step parents or it just simply being a difficult day, I would just let out my anger by smashing my hard fists into some other person's face or stomach. It made me feel relieved, it almost felt like my anger would go away. But it didn't it usually just came back stronger when I got home. Overtime resulting into me breaking down in the corner of my dark room. A few times it was so bad I had to result to more extreme habits to release all the hate and disgust. But nothing could ever cure all the mental and physical scars. The memories, the voices, they will never leave me alone. Every night I will have that same reoccurring dream. It's almost like all the never ending spiral wants to drive me crazy until I cannot take it anymore. They have convinced themselves to tear me apart. And they are going to succeed before long.
