Tyler and I walk out of my house and let Forest run away.
"Looks like she was ready to leave, too."
I nod.
"So, where should we go?"
He shrugs, "probably to a grocery store first and then find a bus stop out of here."
"That's sounds good."
We walk to a Wal-Mart and grab some redbulls, teas and a couple bags of chips then check out.
"My GPS says that the closest bus stop is like, .5 miles to the right."
He smiles, "okay, let's go."
We wait at the bus stop for about twenty minutes until it pulls up and we give him some money.
I sit on the inside, closest to the window and he, of course sits next to me. I lean my head against the window and put my arm around his shoulder.
He starts to drift into sleep as I run my hand through his hair,
"Tyler, where are we gonna go?"
He hums, keeping his eyes shut.
"I don't know, josh. away from here."
I nod and lean my head up against the window and as I let out a breath I forgot I was holding and fogged up my window. I wipe away the condensation with the sleeve of my jacket just so I can watch the city turn into nothing but endless fields of trees and grass that would grow to our knees.
