Fangs clashed near Nala's ear. She let out a screech and ducked her head backwards. She tried to surge forward but the lions were determined to block her escape.

"Help me," wailed Nala as he shoved her muzzle to the sky. "Please ancestors of the stars!"

The lions crowded closer with their eyes' blazing. Their teeth clicked together and blood dripped from their lips. They extended their claws close to Nala.

Nala lowered her head to the ground and her eyes were squeezed shut. "Please, please, please, leave me alone!"

Nala's eyes flashed open and she panted. She gulped and looked around madly. "Simba?"

Simba raised his head and yawned. "Nala, are you alright."

Nala opened her mouth to tell Simba about her dream but she just ended up shaking her head. "I'm fine. I just couldn't sleep. I keep hearing noises."

Simba scooted closer toward her and lapped behind her ears. "I heard noises too," he confessed as he shuffled his paws. "It helps if you picture the kings looking down on you from the stars."

Nala wasn't sure it would work but she didn't know what else to do." Alright." She curled back into a ball and pressed her back against Simba's. "Goodnight," she whispered.

"Goodnight."
