"Nala!"
"Nala!"
Both Simba and Zazu were howling Nala's name. They didn't want anyone to know that they didn't know where Nala was but they wanted to find her.
"Nala, where are you," Simba whimpered as he looked around through every blade of grass and every rock in the savanna. He was determined to find her. "Nala please!"
"Help!"
"Nala," screeched Simba as he turned his whole body and threw himself forward. His paws thundered across the ground with Zazu flying so quickly that his wing tips were touching as the thrust them downward. "Nala what's wrong?!"
Simba halted as he saw a large black hole with thorns jutting out at every angle. Nala was at the lowest part of the hole with thorns scraping her beautiful pelt. Her eyes were wild in fear and she clawed at the side of the hole as she tried to get a pawhold and heave herself up.
Relief washed over Simba as he saw her. "Nala," she exclaimed in relief. "Are you alright."
Nala lifted up a limp paw. "It really hurts," she complained as she squeezed her eyes shut. "But other than that I'm fine. However I am stuck."
Simba was about to reach down when Zazu thrust his talons against Simba's scruff and hauled him backwards. Simba hissed at him. "What are you doing? I need to help her."
Zazu nodded in understanding. "I know that but we can't do this alone. We have to get your father and the lionesses," he pointed out.
Simba thought for a moment before nodding. "Alright. We'll be right back Nala," he assured as his claws sent debris falling down into the hole.
Nala gulped. "Hurry! It's getting dark."
Simba waved his tail. "I promise." He turned and bounded down the savanna.
