You put your hand into the bucket and felt around. You really hoped that it wasn't going to be a boy; if you got a girl, you could have a normal conversation! You stopped when your fingers traced along a wooden object. You grabbed it and pulled it out.

"A training knife." You announced. Everyone's conversations suddenly quietened down at the news.

Annie stood up and walked over to the office, giving you but a small smile hidden by her bangs as an order to follow. You put the knife in your back pocket and walked into the office after her. Eren gave you a concerned look as you shut the door.

"Here you go." You threw the knife full speed at her head. You were really good with knives. Both Juuzou and Dagger had told you everything they knew... although you could never be as good as them!

Annie smirked and caught the knife in her hand. "I knew you'd try something like that."

"Did you really?" You smirked back.

You and Annie were friends. Well, 'friends'. You'd both greet each other whenever you saw eachother, you'd slay titans together and, rarely, you'd help each other out with problems. That may not've seemed like much, but to Annie's standards it was a lot. She really wasn't a bad person. Why everyone was afraid of her, you never knew.

"So," You began, pulling out one of the chairs and sitting on it. "How's everything?"

She sighed, suddenly feeling relaxed about openly talking to you. "You don't need to concern yourself in my life, (Y/N), you've done loads for me already."

"Annie~? You know you can tell me~" You rested your elbows on your knees and lay your head in your hands.

She sighed again in defeat and took out her hair band, ruffling her hair up. "I haven't asked, and I'm not planning to do so any time soon." She said monotonously.

You groaned in annoyance. "Why not? She might've said yes!"

Annie had told you about her plans to ask one of the females if they could go out, and she had also told you that she was planning to do it yesterday.

"They're too popular to want to be with me... and I'm pretty sure she's straight, anyway." She muttered as she stuck the knife out into the air in front of her to parry.

You looked sadly into her eyes and nodded. "Alright. Anyway, what do you want to do?"

She brought the knife back to her side and looked at you. "This is extremely out of character right now, but could you..."

"Help you with something?" You finished her sentence off. Her nose scrunched up at the word 'help', making you smile. "Sure, I'll help." You smirked.

"Ugh." She said quietly as she took the chair next to you and sat down facing you. She leaned forward, making her loose hair fall to cover parts of her face as if she was embarrassed, almost ashamed, to be asking for help. " I'm going to test out what I'm going to say to her, so please just shut up and listen."

"Alright." You nodded.

"And respond to what I say as if this was the real thing." She ordered. You nodded again to show you understood and she took a deep breath. "I... I really love you. And it feels weird for me to be saying this at all because this has never happened to me before. Only you can make me feel like this. I have strong feelings for you. You are the most beautiful, intelligent, witty and combat efficient person I have ever met. In fact, I would really like it if we could be closer and get to know each other more."

You felt your heart flutter with her words, even if she wasn't even saying them to you. "That was amazing, Annie! Now go and do it to the person in real life!" You exclaimed. You stood up and grabbed Annie's hand, skipping to the door. She stopped you as you reached for the handle.

Her arm went firmly around your waist as she pulled you closer to her. "I just did."

She leaned closer and closed the small gap between you both. Your lips connected for a short amount of time and you blushed before she pulled away, too with a blush dominating her face.

"Let's go." She smirked as she opened the door and you both walked back into the conference room. Every one looked at you both, expecting you to have come back with a snapped neck or broken arm, only to sigh in relief when the saw you were fine.

Annie smiled at you from across the room and you smiled and blushed back.

You were glad she had told you; you were in love with that Titan-Shifter.
