I walked quickly beside Lady Sif. We were cloaked and meeting Thor in secret along with The Warriors Three.

The past few days were rough, Frigga's funeral had taken place which had been a beautiful ceremony. I couldn't help but think of Loki. I needed to see him, who knows how he was handling the news.

Odin had put Jane in her room and wouldn't let her out, leaving Thor displeased.

My leg was bandaged and heeling and I pushed through the pain at each step I took. It wasn't smart to be walking on it, but I couldn't just sit around doing nothing.

We walked into the building and it was only lit by candles. Thor was waiting for us and we sat at the round table.

"What I'm about to ask of you is treason of the highest order," Thor started. "Success will bring us exile
and failure shall mean our death. Malekith knew the Aether was here. He can sense its power. If we do nothing, he will come for it again but this time, lay waste to all of Asgard. We must move Jane off-world. The Bifrost has been shut down and the Tesseract locked away in the vault. There are other paths off Asgard. Ways known only to a few. One, actually."
"No," Volstagg said in disbelief. I knew who they were talking about. "He will betray you."
"He will try. Lady Sif will be in charge of getting Jane out."

"And what of the Allfather?" Sif asked.
"It is my sworn duty to notify him of crimes against the throne," Heimdall said.

"He will distract Allfather enough to get us a leading start," Thor explained.

"Assuming you can get Loki's help and you can free this mortal what good would it do? We'd all be dead the minute we step one foot outside the palace," Vostagg stated.
"That, my friend, is why we won't be leaving by foot," Thor said, explaining Vostagg would in charge of guarding the dark elf's ship that had crashed into the castle.

"And what is my duty?" Fandral asked.

"You will be flying another ship that will catch us after we jump out of the dark elf's ship after we get out," Thor explained.

"And I?" I asked.

"It's best if you do not know right now," Thor said and I looked at him skeptically.

After the meeting I secretly followed Thor down into the prison cells. He had yet to let me talk to Loki and I was done asking.

I followed him down the steps and he stopped, turning.

"What are you doing?" he asked.

"I'm going to talk to him," I stated confidently.

I knew what it was like in those cells. This wasn't the answer. Why didn't Loki tell them? I knew the answer though. I had broken him down the last time we saw each other, I betrayed him. That guilt will cling to me forever, no matter how much I tried to justify it for doing the right thing. It wasn't right.

I approached Thor confidently.

"Let me into his cell," I demanded.

"I can not do that my lady," he said, crossing his arms.

"You will. He won't hurt me."

"Are you so sure? After what you did?"

I couldn't tell if that was a jab and a way to reopen that wound, even if it wasn't, it had worked.

"Yes, now let me talk to him. I have to! His mother just died, he's been in that cell and I know how it feels! I have to talk to him..." I begged.

Thor looked at me long and hard, I was not going to give this up. "Very well."
