I sat in the apartment in London with Erik, Darcy, and Ian as they scrambled around working. I helped as best I could, which sometimes only meant getting them food.
Suddenly the door opened and I saw Jane.
"Jane! How wonderful," Erik said, standing up.
" Oh!" Jane exclaimed.
" You've been to Asgard."
" Where are your pants?"
"Oh, he, uh... He says it helps him think," Ian explained.
"Okay, well, I'm going to need everything you got on this. All the work you've been doing
on gravimetric anomalies, everything."
"Okay."
"Are you well, Erik'?" Thor asked walking in and I quickly jumped up and looked around for Loki.
"Your brother's not coming, is he?" Erik asked and Jane and Thor looked at me.
"Loki is dead," Thor said.
I felt my heart drop. I quickly excused myself and ran out into the yard.
My breaths became quick and heavy. I ran my hands through my hair as a sob escaped my lips. I covered my mouth and fell to my knees. My sobs wrenching at my heart and soul, shaking my body to where I could barely breathe. I screamed in anger and pain. Everything had been taken from me, even the man I had grown to love. I loved him and now he was gone. I would never see him again, and that's all I wanted right now.
Once my tears were finally all gone and I had no strength left, I picked myself up and walked back into the apartment.
Darcy explained quickly where they were going and what they were going to do. I told her though, I would not be joining them. I said now that Thor and Jane were here, they had what they needed and everything was under control. I would be no help anyways with the way my emotions were. I would only hinder them.
I said my goodbyes and left. I headed back to my own apartment and walked in, sitting on my bed. My world felt like it had already been destroyed. There was no saving it.
