Title: Looking for Alaska
Author: John Green
Brief summary of plot: Miles (AKA Pudge), goes to boarding school where he meets Chip (AKA Colonel), Lara, Takumi and Alaska. He has many adventures and finds out the answer to the maze, after a very shocking experience.
Strengths: Very descriptive. Brings you closer to the action.
Weaknesses: What happened to the rest of the characters?
Personal response: Very close, if not, just close to tears.
Genre: Tragedy/romance/adventure
Action: Takes place through the majority of the book at the school.
The author, John Green, at some points made me feel as if I was there by being very descriptive.
Main characters: Miles, Alaska and Chip. They are believable and remind me of some people. John Green expands on the way he describes them.
Writing Style: I liked it as it was in the 1st person. It would've been better if swearing was kept to minimum.
Overall opinion: A very intriguing story!
