Adam texted me asking to hang out, I agreed. He was new here any way, he didn't know about my past. What had been haunting me for years. I could start over.

What are you doing today?
Hanging out with Adam at lunch.

Tony wants to come. Is that okay? You can bring a girlfriend of yours if you want.

Ohhh, like a date? ;)
You busy today?
No why?
You wanna come? He's bringing one of the other guys, so he said I can bring a girlfriend of mine. You in?

Come over to my place about 12:00

I tossed my phone on my bed and took a nap.

"Wakey wakey."
I opened my eyes to the quiet voice.
Then got hit in the face with a pillow.
I sit up to the laughter of Amelia.

I muttered incoherent words.
I love that word incoherent.

"Come on! Let's go!" She says excitedly.
"Okay, okay."

I was about to walk out the door when Matzu ran to block it.

"Matzu, I gotta go bud."
He squealed at me.

I pulled out my phone.

Mind if a pig joins us?
What???
My pig.
Sure.

"Okay, you can come."
I grabbed his leash and clipped it on.

"Hey ladies." Tony greets us.
"Hey boys. We brought money this time." I say smiling.
"Nonsense. I invited you, I pay." Adam says.
"But-"
"No. I pay. It's the most gentlemanly thing to do."
"Fine." I sighed.
Adam grinned.

Adam P.O.V

Her eyes sparkled when she saw walked up. She seemed a little confused when I said I'd pay for her. I couldn't let her pay.
It hurt me to not just run up and hug her. She couldn't know yet.

Amelia P.O.V.

Something was different about Adam that confused me, he seemed to know something about Nevaeh that I didn't. He seemed on edge around her, like he wanted to say something but didn't. I felt uneasy.

Nevaeh P.O.V

I laughed so hard I fell over. This Adam kid is hilarious. And Matzu was jealous.

"Nevaeh?" Amelia asks.
"Yeah wussup?"
"Can I talk to you for a second?"
"Of course."

She pulled me away from the boys.

"Do you feel... weird at all?" She asks, glancing at Adam.
"I do feel different. Like I can not worry about anything. I think I know him from somewhere. OMGSH! I KNOW NOW! Nope, never mind."
"Just be careful okay?"
"Alright, mom."
She shakes her head.

We walk back over and I sit by Adam. Matzu sqeezed between us and snorted in Adam's face.

"So, who's hungry?" Tony asks.
"I AM!" Amelia and I both shout.
