Nevaeh P.O.V.

I ran out of the bathroom after I got off the phone with Nick.

"I'm sorry but I have to go!" I say, my heart thudding with fear. "Thank you for the lovly meal though!" I say grabbing Amelia.

"I'm coming to!" Adam says quickly.

Not having time to object he was already up out of his seat.

All three of us scurried out the door and into the rain.

I drove as fast as I could withought getting a ticket or running red lights.

When we got to the hospital I barely shut off the car before running in with Amelia and Adam on my heals.

I want straight the desk and asked which room Bryony was in.

"Room 204."

I sprinted down the hallway, my eyes starting to water.

Once I reached the door I calmed myself before going in.

My shaky hand reached out for the handle and I turned it.
The door softly opened to reveal a very worried and red eyes Nick grasping Bryonys hand.
She laid there with a very peacful expression. She looked as if she was almost smiling.

I broke down in tears.

Amelia came and hugged me.

"What happened?" She asked out loud because I cut off our mind link.

Nick's eyes redened before he started to explain.
"We were downtown walking by the water. She went over to the railing to look at the water. There was gravel before the the water, she fell over. I reached out to catch her, but obviously didn't reach out in time." By now tears were streaming down his face.
"I feel like it's my fault, but I know it's not."

By now my tears had dried and I went over to comfort him.

"It's not your fault Nick." I say squatting before his chair.
I gave him a comforting hug.
"It's not your fault."

"Did you see how she fell?" Amelia asks.

"No. That's the weird thing, she just...fell over. I mean, she was standing on one of the rungs."

The nurse came in and we got good news.
Bryony has not broken bones, nothing was fractured, she was, however, I'm a coma.
She would be in the hospital for a few weeks more.

We left then and went out to the car. I had Amelia drive for the safty of us all, if that was even a thing.

I got in the back so I could sleep, Adam slipped in beside me.
I put my head on his shoulder and his warm muscar atm slipped around me.
I fell asleep.
Fell.
I didn't care if I cried again.

Crying is a sign of strength, not weakness.

So I cried into Adam's shoulder.

-

The next afternoon....

I jogged down the downtown sidewalk because I could.
Who am I kidding?
I was headed to the place that Bryony fell from.

"Hey!"
I hear and turn around.

It was Amelia.

"I figured you would be here."
I sighed.

"You know me to well."

She joined me as we looked out at the water.

-

She was still on the bed, eyes still closed.
I hoped that she would awake from her coma soon.

But then a nurse re confirmed my doubt of her not awakening so soon.
