"So you found her and hung out with her today?" Mother asks.
"Yes." I sigh in emotional pain. "I just wish I could tell her already."
I run a hand through my hair.
"I know this is hard for you sweetie, but you just can't yet." She frowns. "The same thing happened to your father and I, but vice versa."
"I know. How did you do it?"
"Well, I waited patiently until the time came." She looked around thoughtfully.
"But how will I know? You know, when the time is right?"
"Honey," she says putting a hand on my shoulder, "you just will."

She looked around again.
"Now where...?"
"On the counter, mom."
"Thank you." She walks away.

"So... you found her bub? You found the girl?"
"Yes Jerimiah, I found her."

Jerimiah

His smile grew wider, if that's  even possible.
He hugged me in pure joy.
"I knew you'd find her! I just knew it!"
He ran up the stairs to tell the good news to our other brother Michael.
"Mikey Mikey! He found her! Adam found the girl!"

"Mikey Mikey! He found her! Adam found the girl!"

I heard some excited hushed voices upstairs.
I chuckled.
Now to tell my dad....

My dad walks in then and I smile.

"Hey dad."
"Hey son! How was your day with-..."
"It went good. Except, her pig got poisoned. I kicked that guys a-"

"ADAM! WATCH YOU LANGUAGE!" My mom scolds me, waving her wooden spoon around.

"Sorry mom. I kicked his butt for poisoning her pig."

"She has a pig. How lovely." My dad mumbles. "A pig. Why a pig?"
I shrug. "Dog's and cat's are too original."

"You should invite her to dinner, here. I want to meet this girl." My mother says. Stirring the cookie mix. "We can have these cookies for dessert!"

I cringed internally. I hate making my family sad. "Actually, she's gluten free."
My mom frowned, then her face lit up. "I'll make ice cream and find gluten free cookie mix!" Then she hurried into the kitchen.

"Raybelle, honey, can I taste test?" My dad pleads as he follows her to the kitchen. "Please?"
"Not yet, Collin, I'm still stirring the batch!" She laughs.
He huffs. "Fine." He mutters.

I laugh internally.
I still don't know how to tell her.
