Amelia P.O.V.

"Okay okay, you wanna mess with me huh? Take my friend and I'll kick your arse farther than you can ever travel because guess what? I'm just that awsome!"
"Amelia? Are you talking to yourself?" The girl asks.
"Don't interrupt her when she's on a rant, it'll take her longer to finish." Adam says.
"Imma whoop yo butt boy! Again!" I stomp up to the driveway, my adrenaline pumping furiously, it felt great. I was itching for some butt kicking.
I should write that line down 'Itching for some butt kicking' It has a nice ring to it.

I saw Derrick with Neveah.
"Welcome back Amelia. Just in time for some games!"
"Butthole." I muttered for Neveah's sake.

I continued marching up to him, not even pausing, and ninja kicked him in the face. I should get a degree in ninjaness.

The wimp released her to tend to his face but quickly regained and grabbed me.
Everyone gasped.
Ah naw buddy, hands off.
He quickly realized his mistake and let me go.
Yeah, good decision.

I glared and marched away with the people of my group.

"I will be back for you! You shall not escape!" Derrick shouted.

"Yeah yeah! Okay buddy! Whatever you like to say! No one cares! Bye!" I say.

-

"Must... get... water...." Neveah says eggsaturatedly.

Adam picked her up and put her on his back.
"Weeeee!"
"Neveah, you're so immature." I say.
"You're just jealous that I have a light back ride and you don't."
"Yeah whatever."

We continued walking until we came to the highway.

"Uhhh, what now?" I ask.
"We could-"
"We are not hitch hicking." Adam deadpans.
The boy frowned. "I was just listing options."
"And hitch hicking is not one." Adam says again.

A car pulls over and the window rolls down.

"Do you guys need-"
"No." Adam says and the car drives  away.

We start walking along the highway, many cars offering us a ride, and Adam denying that we need one, that is until it started raining.

A pickup truck came along and offered. Adam only agreed because 1. The rain and 2. It has a hardtop in the back.
We all piled in and he drive us to the gas station he was heading to.
We got out and realised, none of us had a cellphone, or they were dead.
Except 'Tarzan'.

"Please? Tarzan?"
"No."
"Pleassssse?"
"No."
"I'll buy you ice cream."
He looks at me. "What kind?"
"Any kind."
"Cookie Dough." He hands me his phone.

"Call my mom." Adam says.
"Hey Mrs. Baskey, uh, could you pick us up at the gas station?...Where are we? Right, ummm" I look around. "Port Townsend! What are we doing here? Well, we must have gone the wrong way.... Okay thanks!"

I hand the phone back to Tarzan and look at Nevaeh snoozing soundly on Adam's shoulder.
Well, I know who's not going to night school in the future.

A few hours later Mrs. Baskey pulls up in her car and takes us home. Tarzan and his sister decide to stay behind and get another ride, if course I got him I've cream first though... and one for me... maybe two, or three but that's beside the point.

The car ride was... interesting to say the least, I was dropped off at home, I got a long talk from my worries parents and lots of tears where shed from this brave buttkicking ninja. But even ninjas need sleep so I ninja flung myself into bed and went to sleep, after locking all the Windows and doors.

Nevaeh

I felt myself being placed in a comforting warmth and snuggled deeper into it, voices were distint in my mind as my groggy eyelids protested against opening, refusing to open when my name was said.

But then I heard the dreaded sentence: "She still has school tomorrow."

My eyelids no longer protested as I opened them, searching in the dark unfamiliar... wait a minute... familiar space of my own bedroom. I jumped out of bed and embraced my parents and had a small conversation and went back to bed after locking all the windows and doors.

I wake to the amazing aroma of bacon and eggs, but not the awful original bacon people usually think of. Turkey bacon, delicious.

The walk to school was a haze, like, an eveyday thing, which it was.
I wanted more adventure, just not the kind I had been through. That had been kind of traumatizing.

Whispers were all around school.
The typical finger pointing and people rushing past happened.
The 'I'm sorry's' and 'You poor thing's' that were supposed to make me feel better. Like, I'm not a 'thing', I'm a person. Just saying.
I might sound stuck up right now but come on.
The same happened to the rest of the people that were in the 'adventure' with me.
I was afraid of what Amelia's reaction would be.

We may have mad it back, but we all came back... different and we all new that this was just the beginning of the adventure.

"Hey, what's up?" Amelia asked.
One this I like about her is that she doesn't ask 'are you okay?' When she sees I'm upset. She just knows.

I shrug. "Just what you would expect when you've missed almost a week of school. Hiw.many people have you had to tell you're not a 'thing' to?" I ask.
"A handful or so."

We separate to go to our first class we don't have together.
I got more stares and pitiful looks.
I accedently broke a pencil, or two, and they may or may not have been my mechanical ones.
I frowned when I broke my favorite one.
Sad day.

I sighed and finished my worksheet.

I rested my hand in my palm and looked out the window.

I. Am. So. Bored.

I watched the rain drizzle slowly down to the ground.

Maybe I can go dance in the rain?

"Hi Nevaeh." A pretty blonde comes up to me.
I had no idea who she is.
"So, what happened? While you were gone?"
"I don't really want to talk about it."
She frowned, then huffed and walked away.
Wow. Okay.

I want through the rest of my day in a robot like state.
Heh heh. Robot. Get it? Okay, nevermind.

Lunch wasn't much fun either.
But the walk home was interesting.
