Chapter 8: The Lost and Found

We drove around New York City for a good hour or so looking for any evidence of my father's wellbeing.

"Any Luck Meliss- I Mean Agent?" Steven told me as he drove.

"No, there has to be a way to find him." I replied.

I looked out the window to what it seemed to be TimeSquare. It was a beautiful place, a place where my father could be.

"Wait, didn't your father go to the hospital?" Steven asked.

"Thats right ! If i can Hack To all the nearby hospitals by my old place i can manage to see if a Henry Reyes ever checked in. " I replied.

Just then a car hit us from behind and Steven had a concern look on his face.

"I am not as strong as i look," he said.

"I can handle this," i replied.

"But, its nighttime and you're wearing glasses," he whispered.

"Contacts, idiot," i replied.

I first looked back and saw three thermal scans, i then took my glasses off and placed in black contacts i carried around in case of emergencies.

"Cover me," i said .

"Always will." He replied.

I got out the car and walked back, there was two males in front and looked to be in their thirties. The driver got out and looked at me in a very bad way, bad as in immature bad.

"Wooh Mami, got them curves," the stranger stated.

"Theres no problem here, go on your way no charges," i said back angrily.

I began walking back when the other man got out of his car.

"Remember me?" The passenger said.

I turned around and it was the man i knocked out the first time i was like this.

"Yes, do you want to die like your leader did?" I said angrily.

Then i began to get angry, the black shadow began to hover over me.  Steven got out of the car and his eyes glowed green.

"Back away from my woman," he said with a deep voice.

The men looked scared and got back into their vehicle.

"Wait Steven There was three thermal scans, theres no man in the back seat." I said.

The car tried to back up, but Steven stop the car with his mind. I walked to the back and popped open the trunk with my hands. Then and there was man in his forties, hands and feet tied together, and i knew this was Henry.

I turned him over and there he was, my mind blew up with memories of us together, the day he taught me how to ride a bike, the day he left on hsi trip, the day he said he was sorry for leaving all the time, and the last day i was Human and i told him goodbye.

"Henry, Henry Are You Okay?" I said Angrily.

I untied him and took him out of the car and i carried his unconcious body to our car. Once he was secure Steven let loose the car and i exploded. I ran to the driver and punched him and broke his neck.

"Melissa!! Stop!!" Steven stated.

He ran towards me and held me. He was strong, but i was stronger, i broke loose and then kicked him far from me. I went to the other side and broke the door and grabbed the passenger by the neck.

"I hope you see your leader!!" I said Angrily.

Then Steven managed to get back in time and controlled me.

"Stop, let him go, his intentions were bad, but leave him be !" Steven said angrily.

I mind controlled a tree and picked it up and slammed it on Steven.

I grabbed the guy and broke his neck.  Steven was trapped under the tree and tried so hard to pick it up. I walked over picked it up with one hand and threw it on top of the stranger's car.

"Let's go now!" I said.

We walked over, got into the car, and kept it quiet for the ride. When we got back to Chuck's i carried Henry to the garage and laid him to the metal table i was once in. I sat there and waited til he awoke feom his slumber and i hooked up two ivs to his arm just in case they drugged him.

"Hey Agent, you okay?" Steven said while walking in with a cup of coffee.

"Im fine, thanks." I replied while looking at Henry.

"You want coffee?"

"I thought we couldn't eat or drink,"

"We can Agent, we just can't sleep," he chuckled.

"Thanks," i stated while taking the coffee.

"What are you thinking about ? If you don't mind me asking,"

"How they found Henry before i did,"

"He's a good man Agent,"

"Maybe in your eyes, but in mine he's still the same man i once knew,"

"Can I Ask You Something ?"

"Sure,"

"Um, when you visited my body, thinking i was dead,
what did you feel?"

"So im guessing you were alive when i kissed your forehead, huh. And i felt Anger, happy now ?"

"When i Saw You coming i had to make it look like i was still dead, so i cover myself in chalk and then i got up and saw that you went to your father. I saw Him follow the ambulances and you left."

"Joseph kidnapped my Friend,"

"Speaking of the devil," Taylor Stated while walking in.

"How are you best friend !!" She stated happily while walking in.

I pushed her back and looked at her.

"Im Not The Same Melissa, Taylor." I said Angrily.
Chuck walked in and grabbed her hand.

"Taylor, let's have a chat about the situation." He stated while dragging Her into the kitchen.

Then Henry Woke up and was terrified.

"Who-who are youu, pppleasse don't kill me," he cried.

"...Dad, calm down," i stated softly but angrily.
"Mmelissa??" He questioned.

I Took off my glasses and showed him my aqua eyes.
"Im not dead, Henry,"

"They didn't find your body,"

"Thats Because I ran away when they killed mom and Jake,"

"Your eyes are different,"

"Im not human, a liquid was put into me and made me immortal, you can be safe here Henry,"

I walked out of the garage and left Steven and Henry. 

I went on top of the house and sat on the roof and looked at the stars. Maybe this was the final peace, maybe this was a chance of the end, but before i could finish my thought something was shot at me from behind, i took it out and it was a black liquid.

I became dizzy and fell off the roof, and then my world went black once more.
