Now loss is a part of life. I love when shows and movies incorporate loss. In Twilight that doesn't happen. No one dies, I mean that guy Wayland did, but that was only in the movie and I didn't care if he died. It's interesting when a main character dies or someone who was close to the main character does. There is no death or loss in Twilight meaning they live in a happy environment where nothing bad happens.
In Buffy there is a lot of loss. For example Buffy's mother was close to her daughter. I did not like her very much, but Buffy loved her because she was family. When Buffy got home she saw her mother's dead body. The death was all natural and was not caused by anything supernatural. This caused me to break down into a ball and cry even though I didn't like her. This is not the only loss of a loved one. Jenny, Giles girlfriend whom he loved very much was killed by a soulless Angel. Buffy who was the cause of angel losing his soul felt like it was her fault. See loss moves the plot and makes the characters mature and get stronger.
