now in my movies and shows I like secrets. Not necessarily secrets kept between characters, but something they don't know that we don't know either. Something that shocks us, you know? Anyway to me a good secret always makes the movie or show more interesting. There are no secrets in Twilight. Literally, nothing is kept from the audience. On the back of the movie it says and I quote "Bella Swan doesn't expect much when she moves to Forks, Washington, until she meets the mysterious and handsome Edward Cullen a boy who's hiding a dark secret: he's a vampire." They tell you on the back of the movie he's a vampire. This makes all that research Bella was doing to find out what he was useless. We already know, so what's the point in watching someone else look it up.
In Buffy, she meets a mysterious guy named angel. He helps her out and gives her warnings and then disappears. Only later do we find out he is a vampire. When I saw this the first time I was so shocked. Mainly because when we saw he was a vampire he was kissing Buffy. A vampire kissing the slayer. That was interesting.
