Who doesn't love a good sacrifice? I certainly do. In Buffy, Buffy sacrificed herself to save the world many times. In the later seasons she sacrifices herself to save the world and dawn. She dies, but her friends bring her back to life. She however didn't want to be brought back to life, for she was happily living in heaven. Not to mention the fact that Buffy is risking her life every time she fights a vampire, which is multiple times a day.
In Twilight Bella does not sacrifice herself. Actually, wait no. For a second I thought about when she cut her arm with a rock, but she didn't die (unfortunately) she just cut herself.
