Today was the day. The day that Camila met Lauren's parents. Lauren had this planned out, deciding to call her parents over for dinner then surprise them with Camila, her girlfriend.

Lauren had told Camila that she would pick her up after she got done changing out of her work clothes. But, unfortunately, Camila had to stay at work a little later because someone had gotten sick and asked for her to cover.

The green-eyed girl had told Camila that she would wait for her and she could even pick her up from work, drop her home, then bring her to dinner, but Camila refused. Camila had told Lauren that she should accompany her parents at the time they were coming and that Camila would arrive fashionably late.

So now, Lauren was sitting at the table with her parents after she greeted them at the door. The three sat down at the table and her mom noticed an extra plate set with utensils.

"Is that an extra?" Lauren's mom, Clara, asked and Lauren shook her head.

"I... have someone else coming over for dinner too." Lauren simply replied. Mike, her dad, shared a look with Clara before asking Lauren who it was.

"Ah! Is Normani coming to have dinner with us as well?" Mike asked happily since Normani was such a good friend to the Jauregui's.

"Uh...not exactly. I- I took your advice, mom, and I met this girl. She's very lovely, Cuban, funny," there was a knock on the door and Lauren's eyes lit up, "and she's here!"

Lauren quickly excused herself to go get the door while Mike and Clara gave each other a questioning look before looking towards the door that was a couple feet away from the table.

Lauren opened the door and was instantly greeted by a hug from Camila.

"Hey idiot, I brought you a flower." Camila said then felt Lauren reciprocate her hug.

"A flower? You know there's three people here?" Lauren teased and Camila pulled away from the green-eyed girl to playfully slap her arm. Lauren finally got a good look at Camila and her breath was taken away by how good she looked tonight. Forget how good, how fucking beautiful, and stunning she is tonight.

"Eyes up here, Laur," Camila chuckled before handing Lauren a small light blue/purple flower with a white circle laying on the center.

"It's a forget-me-not." Camila grinned watching as Lauren took the flower from her hand, smiling at the sight of it.

"What's the meaning of the flower?" Lauren asked, raising an eyebrow.

"Search it up later, loser." Camila winked causing Lauren to laugh. Lauren closed the door and guided Camila to the table. Camila instantly got wide-eyed and blushed furiously when she realized that Lauren's parents had watched all that happen at the front door.

Lauren set it down in a vase and sat down at the table, watching her parents look at her with so much glee, it freaked her out a little.

"Hi, Mrs. Jauregui and Mr. Jauregui! I'm Camila Cabello," Camila eagerly greeted them once she sat down.

"No, no! Just call us Clara and Mike. But... wow, a forget-me-not? That's...wow." Clara commented, sharing a look with Mike.

"What about it?" Lauren asked and Mike shook his head, chuckling.

"You'll see when you search it up, but that is very lovely of you to give that to our daughter," Mike said, smiling widely at Camila. Camila just simply nodded and grinned at Lauren's parents.

"So, what are you currently doing?" Mike asked Camila. Camila gulped, scared of how they were going to judge her once they found out her family was poor.
