Chapter 8 The Girl Named Flora

"And just where you think you're going?" Someone in the crowd of cops shouted.
We were just about to exit the scene.
Luke looked taken aback.
"I-Inspector!" Luke cried.
"Oi, that's right Inspector Chelmy to ya." Inspector Chelmy said with pride.
"Now why are you kids in a crime scene!" Chelmy looked right at us.
"We're the Professor's lawyer team, mate!" Athena beamed.
I stepped on her foot for that. Luke gave me a look of approval. Athena was trying her best not to show any pain.
"Well I better make sure you can take this case!" Chelmy challenged us.

Wednesday, Tom and Jerry ate a restaurant. They ordered their food and ate. When it can to the bill, Tom and Jerry didn't pay. So who did?
Luke and Athena glared at me.
(They're just as clueless huh)
Umm, so if Tom and Jerry didn't pay.
The inspector nodded.
Did Wednesday pay?
Luke and Athena jumped.
Luke face palmed. Athena groaned.
(! Did I get it wrong?)
"Correct my boy! I believe the professor is in good hands."
We waved goodbye to the inspector, then we left the crime scene. Luke un buttoned  his jacket revealing his white and cream stripes on his button up shirt.
What size shirt are you Luke?
Luke glanced up at me in confusion.
Athena mouthed "Gay!"
I-I just don't want to wear the same thing over and over again. We didn't really pack. So..
Luke, who thankful understood what I was asking piped up and said "Oh I'm a size medium. Also you look like a tomato."
N-n-no I don't.
"You're lucky I don't have a mirror." Athena added.
I touched my face and felt it was warmer than usual. Then it got hotter.
(Think Apollo! Change subject!)
I-I guess I can fit your size.
"But! I don't think you can just borrow my clothes." Luke looked different.
"If you you're going to wear my clothes you need to wear something else that's gentlemanly."
I was internally sweaty.
"You. Need. To. Wear. A. Hat." Luke finished. "It'll be like having  my own apprentice." Luke held his chin.
But we're  about the same age.
"This is the past Apollo. In our time he's old enough to be your grandpa." Athena butted in.
Well what are you going to wear!
Athena gritted her teeth.
"My friend Flora should have something." Luke brought up. " I'll take you there and Trucy too."
"Then what will the boss borrow from?" Athena asked.
I'm guessing the Professor's clothes.
Luke nodded.
We finally arrived back at the detention center. We saw Trucy and Mr. Wright walk out.
"Polly!" Trucy came running and gave me a hug.
Trucy!
Luke and Athena continued walking towards Mr. Wright. 
"You guys were taking so long, Daddy and I got worried. We didn't want to leave so we stayed here. Because you might not find us."
How long were you waiting?
Trucy looked up and touched her chin.
"2 hours, 3 hours? I don't know it was a long time." Trucy shrugged, uncertain.
We walked over where everyone else was talking.
"So, what exactly did you guys find?"
Mr. Wright asked.
I concurred with him what happened.
When it came to the knife I didn't bring it up out loud, because of Luke, so I whispered it. Athena nodded, probably because she can hear it and because I kept Luke mental state in check.
"I almost forgot! I need to take you to Flora's!" Luke exclaimed.
That's right!
Luke tipped his hat.
"Also don't forget our deal Apollo."
(Grr. I guess it's for the best. I'm more likely to blend in this time period if I wore clothes from here.)
Mr. Wright looked confused, but he took one good look at me and he made a face like he understood.
"Come along! This way!" Luke guided us to Flora's.
When we arrived I was in awe. It was a nice cafe. With stairs leading to a balcony and more stairs leading to where I guessed correctly where Flora lived. 
"Hi, welcome to Flora's, sample?"
The nice hostess, with a little bit of a mousey voice greeted ed us with really good bite sized cucumber sandwiches.
"Hi Flora!" Luke came from behind us who just finished his sandwich.
"Hey Luke, What's up? Are these your new friends?" Flora asked.
"Yeah. Umm, This is Mr. Wright." Luke answered for us.
"Hiya!" Mr. Wright greeted Flora.
"This is Apollo and Athena."
We shook hands with Flora.
"And this is Great Amazing Trucy!"
Luke gave Trucy the grandest intro out
of all of us.
"How do you do?" Trucy said as she tipped her hat.
Flora gave a huge smile.
"So why are you here Luke?" Flora asked as she walked to the counter.
"Oh uh, Apollo can you explain?"Luke turned the same color as my vest.
"No I want to hear from the gentleman himself." Flora twirled her hair.
"So uh Athena and Trucy need some clothes for 2 weeks." Luke stared at the floor.
"And why?" Flora asked.
"Surprise visit for 2 weeks I guess. We can't go home till then. Because we time-" Trucy started ranting but Mr. Wright interrupted her and continued.
"Have a ship home in that time."
"Oh I see." Flora falling for the lie.
"I knew you had hand me downs. So we came here." Luke said.
"Ok alright you 2 up here!" Flora lead them to the stairs. Leaving Mr. Wright, Luke and I downstairs. Halfway up the stairs Flora shouted.
"Help yourselves to some tea!"
Luke shouted back, "Ok!"
I poured tea for myself in a wooden cup.
I was walking towards the table, but I bumped into a man. Pouring tea all over myself.
"You've gotta be kidding me." Mr. Wright said. But when he said gotta it sounded like "godot".
(Was that a prosecutor he went up against?)
"Sorry kid. I guess I'm just not my self without my partner." The man said.
"Wait Inspector!" Luke cried.
