Edd's POV
It's been three days since the pep assembly and I haven't seen Rosetta or Rick since because they went on a camping trip. But I wish they were here now because yesterday mother and father went on a business trip. Leaving me alone at home with a high fever, and it being a bit hard to breath. I have no clue what's going on, I'm normally very healthy. Did my last visit to Ed's room give me something? I was in the kitchen drinking my 15th glass of cold water in hopes it will cool me down. I know I should go to see a doctor but, I hate hospitals.
"We're home!" I hear Rosetta call as she enters the house.
I get up and wobble my way to the living room, only to stumble and fall into her arms. "EDWARD?!" she shouted feeling my head, "You have a fever! Were are mom and dad?!"
"They went on a last minute trip." I smiled weekly.
She just heaved a heavy sigh and picked me up and moved me to her back. Normally if it wasn't her, I would feel embarrassed that a girl could pick me up. But right now, I just let her carry me up the stairs and put me in bed. But I noticed that her expretion changed. "Rose?" I questioned.
"When did the heat start?" she asked.
"About...... the assembly." I admitted
"Who. Around." She said a bit sternly.
"K-Kevin. Why?" I asked.
"Rick. GET KEVIN!" she commanded and he was out the door faster than I have ever seen, and Rosetta's face was painted with worry and fear.
"Sister. What's going on?" I asked a bit scared.
"Edward..... Your going into heat." she said.
"WHAT?!" I shouted.
"This is very rare to go into heat before your powers awaken. But it's not herd of. With the very few that it happens too, usually mean it's making the inseparable connection between you and your mate. Rick set him on the floor." She finished, patting the spot next to her only to have a sleeping Kevin appear next to her and Rick appearing on her other side. "Okay Edward. Take. His. HAND!"
She forced our hands together, only to have a sudden light flash. And when the light cleared, Kevin was now VERY wide awake. "Edd?"
