We kept running down street and block until we stopped at a large fast food place.  "Nice place." I commented. She took me in though with a reluctant look on her face.  Giving more proof to my assumption.  As we took our seats and ordered our food we were mostly silent. I was too uncomfortable to speak feeling awkward in my wooden chair I felt as if this was a date. But she was definitely not feeling the same way. She just stared out the window with a completely different look on her face. She seemed almost angry but also quite bored, as if she wanted to be somewhere else. I was curious what caused this change of heart, so I decided to start talking. "I'm Sorry I haven't even gotten your name yet... mines Tatsuki, Minoru Tatsuki, I work at the CCG and also am a real-estate agent." She sighed and began to speak, again with reluctance. "I'm Kokoro, Garasu Kokoro." "That's an interesting name, it's a bit poetic, and quite beautiful." I complimented. She then just faced the table. "Thank you... that is very nice." I knew she was upset as if she was about to do something she would regret. As our burgers arrived I began "Hey are you-" She didn't even stop to say thanks she just began stress eating "-alright?"  She ate the whole burger in a few seconds barely stopping to breathe. She then proved all my suspicions as I looked at her throat. "Stop!" I Yelled as quietly as I could so she could here me but no one else could.  She looked at me with wide eyes and mustard under her lips. "Just stop, I already know, you're a ghoul." She began to cry silently and gag.  I knew exactly what would come next. I grabbed some bills and threw them onto my plate grabbed her and ran out. I helped her into an alleyway where she threw out her guts. Coughing all the while. As she wrenched out all the food she ate she cried. "Why did this have to happen?" "You did a good job at hiding the fact that you are Ghoul up until the meal. I could see the uneasiness in your eyes, because you knew you had to eat human food in order to prove you weren't a ghoul on top of that you tried stress eating to make me feel awkward. But the thing you didn't count on was an observant eye."  She then gasped with tears in her eyes. "I looked at your throat and saw that you were swallowing a lot of food you were barely chewing. You were trying your best not to taste it but in the end you couldn't keep human food down." She faced the ground again tears dripping off her face, at my explanation. I knew she had the idea that I would turn her in because I work from the CCG. So I tried reassuring her. "Well you don't have to worry about it now I-" before I finished I was pinned to the wall by a mighty force.  The air wrenched from lungs by the hard surface. "ACk" I coughed, and looked up thinking I would see the Ghoulish fury of Kokoro, because of her misjudgment. But to my astonishment I was shown not the anger of a beast but the sadness of young woman. Her bluish red eyes of her ghoulish form were actually quite beautiful as they wallowed with tears. "Please I don't want to have to kill you." She cried. "You're a glass cannon like your name. You're fragile, you're strong but you wouldn't hurt a fly, unless the fly hurt you back or if you were hungry. Like Those thugs you knew you could take them out but you knew you couldn't do it in broad daylight. And I wasn't going to turn you into the CCG I'm not even an agent I'm just a business man that works there." Her emotions changed at my confirmation from sadness and frustration, into relief. But she still continued to sob from the stress.  Her elbow fell loose from my chest and she fell to her knees. Through compassion I fell with her and comforted her with a meaningful hug.

I walked out of the fast food restaurant a few minutes later carrying two cups of coffee. I saw Kokoro sitting on a bench next to the business looking off into the distance. "Here, it's not as good as Antieku's but it's something." I handed her the coffee and sat down next to her. "Thank you."  She said gratefully. "How did you find out about Antieku?" She asked curiously. "I live there." Her eyes widened with suspicion, I noticed then confirmed. "Not for the CCG though, my mother was the one who sold Yoshimura the building. And it's the only place I can connect with her again. For she was the one who taught me not to judge Ghouls." "Your mom sounds like a brave woman, what happened to her?" Kokoro questioned. "Her and the rest of my family were slaughtered by a half-breed four years ago. " I said with a single tear in my eye. "Oh I'm so sorry."  "It's ok ever since then I tried to act tough like you but truthfully, I'm just trying to stay sane." I finished now both of us looking at the ground depressed.  Until I broke the silence "I'm sorry I didn't mean to depress you out I just-" "It's fine."  She interrupted. "I don't think my history would be any happier to hear. I grew up with two younger siblings both twin boys of ages sixteen, I'm twenty-four by the way.  Our parents were killed by CCG agents when the boys were only five. Luckily Antieku hid us and took care of us until we moved out. Ever since then it's been difficult for me to find a job, and the boys just sit at home and playing video games and fighting." "Wow that isn't much happier than my life. " "Well there are some happy times in there. Me and my brothers hunt together and we love each other but because of their free spirited age they always want to get out there, but I keep telling them to stay at home and stay safe. It's just hard to take care of them. But hopefully this next internship will help" she said brightly. "Oh you got a job?" I asked "It's a nice internship and secretary replacement job at a wealthy business. It will surely get us back on our feet." She said confidently. "Well good, I do hope you-" 'ring, ring. Ring, ring' my phone went. I took it out and looked at the recipient's name. "I'm sorry I got to take this it's the real estate agency." I said then answered. "Yeah boss" 'Tatsuki where are you?' The guy said worrying. 'Sorry boss I had take care of some stuff from my other job' I lied hiding the fact of where I was. 'Oh it's fine I just need you to get here as soon as possible.' 'Oh what happened?'  I responded now curious. 'All of the other agents are out right now and there's still a few buyers left I need you to take care of them.' 'Ok I'm on my way.' 'Thanks your a life saver.' 'No problem boss bye.' I finished and hung up. "Well I got to go they need me over there." "Alright." We both stood up from the bench and hugged with our fragile hearts. Then we looked into each other's eyes feeling the precious moment, but I had to end it. "Well goodbye." I turned to leave when she said "Wait don't say goodbye we might see each other again, later." "You're right, um see you later." I corrected myself. "You too." She said with a tear in her beautiful blue eyes. I didn't want to cry so I turned to walk away. But after a few feet I turned to see her walk away with her purse and coffee as the tear fell anyway.

There I gave you two chapters and more to come. This one was originally gonna be combined with chapter four, but I ran into the same problem as chapters two and three.  Please leave a comment and I hoped you liked it.
