Jen's POV

I hear the alarm on my phone buzzing, and I reach over to my table to turn it off. I rub my heavy eyelids, stumbling out of bed. I walk over to my small couch, shaking Josh awake. He opens his eyes, smiling softly.

"Good morning, sleepy head." I say, walking over to the bathroom to brush my teeth. I throw my hair up into a bun, slipping on a tee shirt and some running shorts. "I'd get up now," I say, peeking my head out of the bathroom. "We have fifteen minutes to get to set."

He quickly gets up, shuffling around to find his clothes. He slips on his shirt and jeans, running over to the bathroom with me. He splashes his face with cold water, and I laugh. "Ugh, I'm so sick of getting no sleep." I say, examining the bags under my eyes. I grab some concealer, covering them and looking at Josh.

"Ready?" I ask, patting him on the back.

"Yeah." He says. I walk into my bedroom, slipping some flip flops on and grabbing my purse. Josh takes his phone and keys from the small table and follows me outside. "Do you just want to ride with me? I can drop you off here after."

I shrug. "Sure." I say hesitantly, walking over to his car with him. After Josh got here last night, we didn't do much talking. We just watched reality TV, and eventually fell asleep. We didn't say one word about the night prior, but I know he's thinking about it. I can't get it out of my head.

I hop in the front seat, resting my head against the window. God, I'm so tired.

I look over to Josh, biting my lip. I guess everything is falling back into place. I've pushed aside any feelings I may have had for him, because Josh is my best friend. We don't need to be anymore than just that.

After the day that seemed to drag on, I grab my bag, meeting Josh outside of our trailer. He smiles when he sees me, and he begins to say something, but I am interrupted by my phone ringing.

"One second." I murmur, mouthing the word 'sorry' to him as I bring the phone to my ear. "Hello?" I say.

"Jen, It's Nick!" I hear my ex boyfriend say from the other line. "I got your message last night, but I was so tired, I didn't have the energy go call back." He chuckles, breathing heavily. "I'm actually in town right now, and I was wondering if you'd like to get some drinks tonight?"

I smile happily. "I'd like that." I say in a flirty tone. "Pick me up at 9:00? I'll send you my address."

"Sounds good." He says. "Can't wait to see you."

"Okay, bye." I say softly, smiling as I hang up the phone. I put it in my pocket, looking over to Josh as we get in the car.

"Who was that?" Josh asks cautiously, staring over to me.

I shrug casually. "Nick's in town," I start. "We're going to go get a few drinks tonight." I say, leaning back into the seat as Josh starts to drive. He huffs, rolling his eyes.

I get annoyed. "What?" I ask. "Did I do something to upset you?"

"No," he breathes, avoiding eye contact with me. "It's none of my business what you do with your life."

"Excuse me?" I hiss, sitting up and looking straight at him. "What the hell did I do to you to put you into this shitty mood?"

"You didn't do anything, but I just think your reckless decision making is going to hurt people sooner or later."

"My reckless decisions?" I ask, my voice raised quite a bit. "The last time I checked, I am a well rounded woman who is capable of making her own smart decisions."

"Whatever, Jennifer. Just forget it."

"Fine."

"Fine!"

Josh drives in silence for about five minutes, and I cross my arms. I stare out the window, anger filling me completely. Why does Josh have an opinion on what I do? Why does he care if I go out with Nick? It's not like he wants me.

He then speaks up... "You know, I just think it's stupid to not want a relationship with a guy but yet have sex with him every chance you get. What do you have against a steady relationship?"

It's those words that anger me the most. Is he being serious right now? "You have no right to say that to me! No right!" I say angrily, pulling at the door.

"Stop it, Jen. You're acting crazy." Josh says.

"No! Let me out of this god damn car, or I swear to god, I will jump out if I have to." Josh ignores me, continuing down the road. I huff, grabbing my bag off the floor. "You don't get to do this to me. You don't get to have an opinion on me or what I do, because when I tried to open up, you shut me out. I'm done with this. Don't try to call me tonight when you can't sleep." I can tell Josh is completely hurt by my words, but he acts as if he doesn't care. He turns onto my road, and I get out of the car, slamming the door behind me.

What the hell just happened?
