"She's a hardcore, candy-store,
give me some more girl."

                        -MAYAS P.O.V-

It was a Sunday morning and I found myself at my best friends bay window, discussing everything.

"How was it with Farkle?" She beamed.

"Nothing much." I shrugged it off.

Riley rolled her eyes. "Why do you push him away?"

"Riles, there's nothing I'm pushing from in the first place."

"Fine." She pursed her lips.

Ten minutes later, Farkle climbs in the window and seats himself next to me.

"Leave." I sternly stay.

"No, no, no– I am! Gotta prepare the kitchen table." Riley corrected.

I really wanted to shoot her.

"Honestly, ignore Riley. She thinks she we have a thing going on and she's completely wrong." I complained.

"Is she?" A smirk formed on the corners of his lips.

I gripped his t-shirt and pulled it close. "She is." I reassured, quickly releasing afterwards.

He placed his hand over mine, my hand quickly feeling it was on fire. "See that?"

"That's when two opposite forces attract." He finished, his fingers lacing with mine.

I felt my cheeks burn, and that was when something was up.

"Well, nice experiment, the project is finally over then." I gave a teasing grin, moving to the bed. "Move an inch closer to me, and I'll call Riley." I continued.

Mayas words just generate more attraction that draws me towards her.

"Why did we have a good time yesterday? You're lying to yourself. You know we aren't just talking for a project." I insisted.

"The project caused 'this', and probably will end 'this'." She brushed past me, and left.

Riley entered the room a few minutes later.

"Where's Maya?"

"She left" I swallowed dryly.

"I-I don't know why she does this–" Riley seemed apologetic.

"Neither do I. Which leads me on."

"Just don't tell her that, she's probably aware." I say sharply.

I had to leave.

Farkle shows up everywhere, and it's getting on my nerves. There's no need to have this guy wind up everywhere we go, as if we're classified to be friends.

His hand against mine provided a warming and gentle feeling I was not used to. What on Earth was his urge to do that?  I knew I had to pull away, which was the absolute right thing.

My priority is keeping my space from him for awhile until I figure things out. Right now I'm lost.
