/// Maya POV
The entire school suggested we go out on a date.
Why on Earth do they care if I have a boyfriend or not?
I groaned. I hate playing pretend, and I hate that this isn't real.
I'm in love with the boy who is now agreeing to possibly making a big foll of himself if were caught.
But, I think he just likes it best when were friends, and I'm okay with that.
Even though it kills me inside, and eats me up slowly.
Were walking to Topanga's, hand-in-hand, Riley and Farkle following shortly, and Zay carrying Smackle on his back. I smirked at the cowboy.
"Hey Ranger Roy?" I asked him. He looked over at me and smiled. "Yes, pancake?"
I tried to hide my pathetic giggle, and continued with my plan.
"My feet hurt and were only halfway there." I winked at him, then gestured to Zay and Smackle.
He smiled but sighed, "Alright, hop on." I laughed and got on his back. It was hard not to melt into a big giant puddle of Love, right then and there.
But I always forget how I can't go too far with my feelings, because none of this is real.
But it feels real.
/// Lucas POV
I guess Maya generally got bored on my back, so she starting messing with my hair. I didn't care, I liked it.
"Maya, what are you doing with his hair?" Riley asked, laughing.
"Shush, I am creating a masterpiece and it's almost finished." Maya replied.
"Do you think Lucas will like his new 'do?" Zay asked.
I smiled. "Nah, I love it."
"Dude, you haven't even seen it. It's all spiky." Farkle continued.
"I don't care if it looks like a rat's nest, I really don't." I said, getting annoyed.
"Fine, I'll stop." Maya said as she leaned on my shoulder. "Less than two minutes until we reach Topanga's." Smackle said.
I smiled at my goofy friends and the beautiful girl laying on top of me.
"You guys do seem to be taking this whole 'boyfriend' and 'girlfriend' thing very serious." Zay said, grabbing our drinks at the counter.
I smiled at Maya. "How is that?" I asked him.
"If we all dared you to make out for 10 minutes, right here, you would totally do it. Were not stupid. I kind of feel like you guys enjoy this," Zay answered, smirking.
I saw Maya blush, and I felt my face heat up.
"Now, If I didn't know any better I'd say they actually like-" Riley shoved her hand over Farkle's mouth before he could finish anything.
Riley shook her head as to say, 'No don't tell everyone that Maya actually likes him.'
Yeah right. Maya doesn't like me. I wish.
/// Maya POV
The next day at school, swarms of cheerleaders, jocks, emo, regulars, goofies, nerds, everyone was asking me how amazing it felt to be dating someone like Lucas.
"It's great," I gushed. But then I realized these weren't my real friends, so I walked over to Riley.
"Hey, Riles." I said.
