Cassandra's POV
When I was young, my father was too busy to be in my life. At least that's what my mother says. She died many years ago. She was a naval officer. Her name was Lynn Harris. According to the detectives who investigated how she died, she died in action. I didn't believe that the second I heard it. When my mom was on duty, there wasn't any wars to be fought, unless you count watching over the soldiers on board like a hawk a war.
My mother tried so hard to keep me away from my dad. She said it was for my own good.
But boy was she wrong to keep me way from him.

Sorry that this is short. I don't want to give away too much of her past. I will update whenever I can, mostly because I am lazy as hell. There will be swearing and there may be some smut. I don't know yet.
