Emily - Alternate
The house that Finn bought in Charlottesville turned out to be this ridiculously huge mansion. The reason it took the better part of a year to get it ready was because in addition to the werewolf company that he'd hired to do the security, he was remodeling it to his standards.
That included making it so Ian, Brody, and I would have the second floor. He'd redone the attic so that would be his and Aislin's private quarters. There were almost no windows up there, so it was dark enough for them.
So, a Collector, a Keeper, and a werewolf all live with a couple of vampires. Sounds like the beginnings of a bad joke, doesn't it? Well, no, it's my life. Because as a group, minus Aislin most times, we hunted and killed demons.
My brothers, Sean and Nate, were a bit jealous at first, but they had rented an apartment closer to campus. We'd helped them move in earlier in the day, and now they were prowling around the second floor of the house looking at the guest rooms and the huge entertainment room Finn had built for us.
"Damn, you guys could have some killer parties here," Nate announced as he walked into the entertainment room.
"No parties," Finn was sitting on the couch. "That's one of their rules."
"No wonder we rented an apartment," Sean mumbled. "Can we come visit?"
"Sure," Finn smiled. "But you can't bring a whole lot of people with you. Sorry, it's just a territorial vampire thing. It took me awhile to be comfortable asking these three to move in here."
"You guys should claim that room," Ian was walking out of the room to the right of the entertainment room. The bedrooms we'd have were off of it, and the guest rooms were across the hall. We'd not been allowed up on the third floor. We only knew the entrance was hidden behind a bookshelf. And considering there were a ton of those, it could be anywhere. "The view of the lake is awesome."
"Then why don't you take it?" Brody asked him.
"I dunno," Ian shrugged. "I think because I like the other room just a bit better."
"Well, ok then," Brody grinned and picked up one of the boxes we'd dropped into the entertainment room then walked into the room Ian said we should have.
With everyone there, we had all of our things in our bedrooms quickly. I wanted to unpack things, but Brody wanted to hang out with the guys since they were here, so I told him to go ahead. I knew he'd appreciate a made up bed when he was ready to collapse. It had been a rather long day.
"We're ordering pizza," Brody walked into the bedroom as I was making the bed. "Finn said no to delivery so Ian and I are going to go pick it up."
"Why no delivery?" I walked around to tuck in the other side of the sheet. "And are Sean and Nate staying here?"
"You know how he is," Brody shrugged. "Yeah, they're going to be here to bug you."
"Oh, great," I rolled my eyes and threw the pillows onto the bed. "I do not want pepperoni on my pizza tonight. Oh, and I want breadsticks."
"Sure, doll," Brody grabbed me and kissed me. "Why don't you leave most of this? You can do it tomorrow."
"No, I'll be making you help me tomorrow," I grinned up at him.
"I have a team meeting though," Brody reminded me. "And Ian has practice."
"Ian's on his own for unpacking anyway," I opened the comforter that Brody and I had picked out together. "I'm just going to make sure the towels are in the linen closet, then our shower stuff, and I'll go out with Nate and Sean."
